I like that rear end ratio setting, comes in handy for short tracks with tight cornering. Just raise the setting maybe one or two ratios depending on which track and it solves the need to use breaking when entering the sharp corners. It's like having a engine break. The only downside is higher engine rpms at high speeds so adjustment is track dependent. It works great for tracks like Bristol where cornering is right there nearly the entire time and straight aways don't last long enough to worry about.

i made a bit of a summary: bumps: how quickly road bumps enter the tyres, stiffer = quicker. rebound: how quickly road bumps leave the tyres, stiffer = quicker. Left weight: obvious Front weight: more front weight = more undetsteer. wedge: lower = looser car and vice versa, related to springs? idk front ride height: lower = faster corners rear ride height: same as front but also affects top speed, higher = slower but also more rear control front springs: lower = softer, more grip, less handling because lower weight distribution rear springs: same as front springs, softer also prevents you from spinning, tighter handles more weight while loosening the rear tyres: higher psi, higher top speeds, lower grip. Left side should grip more in ovals because duh, higher difference between the sides makes looser. Same applies to front and rear. Camber: low camber, tyres touches the ground more, increasing braking and grip on lower banks but turn in reduced. Too high and your tyres die. Positive angles the tyre to the right. front swaybar: lower = more front rotation, car may spin. track bars: lower on the left = looser. If too loose, increase right track bar. Keep them the same usually. brake bias: lower = looser under braking. grille tape: higher = more top speed and grip but your engine literally gets cooked wheel lock: steering reactions, lower = quicker reaction steering offset: more = car turns easier all gear ratios: higher = acceleration, lower = good drafting

Hi, love the videos. They give good insight into what to change when your car isn't behaving the way you'd like. One question I have that I have not been able to find anywhere else is, what amount do the upgrades account for? For instance, if you take your engine department from 80 to 85, is there a value associated with that one level upgrade? Sometimes it is hard to determine what should be the "next" thing to upgrade. Thanks for any input and keep up the great work!

I still don't fully understand the bump and rebound in this game.. your definition seems strange way to think about it.. can you dumb it down? Lol not literally, but it should apply to dips bumps etc.. Where do you want to start on the car to build a set up?
@ariesmotorsports41564 жыл бұрын
Hello... think of it this way.. bump dictated how fast a suspension coil retracts when being pushed. So lower settings allows for softer suspension and more comfortable feel when going over bumps on the track. Higher will stiffen the suspension. Rebounds are how quick the coil pushes the tire back to the ground.

@garyr7027 Жыл бұрын
The garage option is available when you get to the screen where you see your car inside the garage with your crew along with the driver standing around gapping their jaws in conversation... it's at the top in that screen scene. If the garage option is not available then it's because you're not running in expert mode in the main menu. The garage options are not available in normal AI mode. If you need driving assist that normal mode gives you, then just take note of the settings in that mode, switch it to expert mode, then modify the expert mode with the settings you had in normal mode. This way you get driving assist in expert mode plus have the garage options. Do this and you won't regret it. From there it's just a matter of fine tuning the expert options and garage options for your driving comfort.
