it's really not fair. Rick gives so much to everybody. Bad things always seem to happen to good people. It's just not fair.

It's unbelievable that this October it will be 7 years since that devastating crash... I was listening to Jeff's radio transmission between he and Robby Loomis, and Robby came over the radio to tell Jeff that NASCAR wanted to see him in the hauler immediately following the race. The first thing that came to my mind was that he had done something on-track to be 'scolded' for... and then when Jim Hunter came on to deliver the news, it was instant silence. Now Jim is gone as well, RIP all

I remember, one night, Jeff Gordon approached me, with a distinguished man in his company, his name, was Randy Dorton, we sat up till 3 am, talkin engines, wrist pin height, crank shaft stroke, and valve timing, I'm proud of that night, and proud to call Jeff Gordon, and Randy Dorton, my friends

I really loved this tribute because it explained how important the lesser-known people were, both to the organization, and to the people who loved them. Very moving. RIP

And today, Jr took the win for the Hendrick team. His first win ever at this track. Very fitting it be him who wins on this anniversary.

It's hard to put into words what it feels like to be part of this organization, even remotely, like any of us who work for one of Mr. Hendrick's dealerships. He and his family are so giving it's hard to describe. I can't imagine what that day was like for them. God bless them all.

whatever mistakes mister Hendrick has made in his business or personal life I seriously doubt you could find one person to ever say anything bad about this man!

As a Rusty Wallace fan who couldn't stand Hendrick Motorsports dominance in the 90s, it was quite surprising to hear what Rick did for Rusty's Blue Max team during 1989. Wow that is something else. Rick Hendrick is one of the great people in nascar.

I will never forget those days, Jimmie won Martinsville to horrible news, then he won Atlanta with them all on the hood, and won Martinsville when they went back, that is story book just like when Dale Jr won Daytona in July after his daddy died in the 500. NASCAR has had some special moments. It's part of my life I couldn't imagine a life without NASCAR.

Jeez, anyone part of the Hendrick team should stay away from planes around October 20-31

IMHO this plane crash was worse than 9/11 b/c the Hendricks were people who touched America and we could all relate to because we sit with our families around the tube and bond with each other and the Hendricks made that possible for us. RIP!

What if Ricky Hendrick is still alive he is owner of Hendrick Motorsports in lower series and to replace his retired father Rick in cup series.

What hockey is to Detroit?? I'm Canadian & i laugh that Detroit calls themselves "Hockey Town" they can't even sell out, the only time they sell out is if they go deep into the playoffs or during the regular season vs Toronto,Montreal,Colorado etc. You want to see a true "Hockey Town" come to Toronto which is also the home of the "Hockey Hall Of Fame", it doesn't matter if Toronto wins or loses they sell out just like Montreal or any Canadian team for that matter. The true "Hockey Town" in the States is Minnesota.
