it is now March 2024. This was and is still a great Nascar Racing game. I did both offline and online racing of free servers back then till IRacing came along and took over. I have this game on my Windows 10 PC and still works pretty good. Graphics are crude but they looked great when the game first came out. If you do allot of google searching around, there are still allot of good mods, tracks, and cars for the game. Thanks for the video and take care.

Best NASCAR game ever made, even now, nothing touches it!!. What totally sucks is to have the disk in your closet.. but NOT having the pass keycode that lets you in!!! Lost it somewhere over the years. Tore up the house looking for it but no luck. Still can't force myself to toss the disc, although I will never be able to use it...

The damage model was incredible 30 years ago. I loved this game and the camera angles. I remember Papyrus made Nascar Racing in like 1994 too, and they made an indy car one also

i come from iracing vidoes and remembered this gem.. but i don't remember it being this arcady then again i would always crank everything up to 11 pretending to be dale. this game was ahead of its time and is the reason why i use the inside view on every damn game i played since

Depends on his settings. Its unforgiving if you turn off ALL assists and turn the AI Strength up.

I remember having a lot of fun with this game in a MP league I belonged to. Often thought of getting back into sim racing but it seems a bit over complicated now days. May be I am just getting old.

I'm not sure if it was Nascar 2002 or 2003 that I had or something else, but I remember being very bad at the game. I had the steering wheel and pedals controller, and to me, the pedals were either on or they were off. I'm laughing now, but imagine how badly I was turning all over 7/8ths of the racetrack. I did eventually get going, but I never did get that great at the game back then. Oh, and I once got bored, so I decided to turn around and go the wrong way to cause crashes. This amused me for some time, being as games of this era are so unrealistic. Another time, I simply crashed in to Car 1, and he vanished. I didn't know what happened, so I watched the replay. The car _flew sideways jankily and landed on top of the track fence and stayed there._ I couldn't stop laughing. As if that wasn't enough, I eventually realized there was some developer commentary, so I watched it. At one point, someone was talking about the steering wheel and pedal controller: "You can't just mash the pedal to the floor and expect the best driving results." ... And so, I ended up laughing at _that,_ too. (I posted this at a Nascar 2002 video, too, but I think I'm done now.)

Even though this was recorded in 4k, the details in mirror view are minimal. You can't see those buildings. It is optional that you have to press the M and N key.
