Craftsman V20 battery differences!!

My drill impact driver kit came with the 1.5 amp batteries. Good for general use . I've gotten three 3 amp batteries and a 8 amp for heavy load work.

I called about my v20 lithium ion 2.0 amp hour battery saying 1.5 on the underside and they sent me a free v20 4.0..lol just a little tidbit of info.

Those are normally starter batteries as you can't do jack diddly squat with two amp batteries except maybe power a flashlight.

The smaller charging stations have slightly less amperage than the larger. Some of the newer chargers just clip into the top and don't even put out an amp of charging power!

The tiny is actually my favorite now - IF I'm not in a hurry. It's really small and light. I have a ton of batteries so I can wait a little longer. I am tight on space and this takes up very little room. I have the other chargers but I pack them in my to go bag if i work away from home and like the speediness of the larger charges. I have (3) different sized chargers.

So the lithium ion 20v you can’t use on the 20v Craftsman tire inflator ? Even if it calls for the V20 battery ? I’m confused

You can only use batteries marked "V20". Typically they are red. For some reason Craftsman let Sears make their own 20 volt cordless tools. You want the Red ones from lowes IMO.

Craftsman batteries use very cheap Chinese cells and the aftermarket battery replacement are not any better. My advice is if you going to purchase tools at Lowes, is spend just a little bit more and buy a Kolbalt tool. At least Kolbalt has half way decent cells in their battery packs.

@@PWRPalmetto not all of them do. The higher priced double stack batteries may have them but the standard kit batteries are supplied with the crappiest Chinese cells you can get your hands on. You have to pay an outrageous price to get a decent battery for a low quality budget tool. Stanley and Lowe's have crapped all over what used to be a proud American name and product.

@@PWRPalmetto they may but all the Craftsman batteries that I have recovered from the recycle bins at Lowe's and Home Depot have had those "NO NAME" Chinese cells in them and when tested on the chargers retain very little of their original listed output value. Which makes them almost useless for building battery banks or even in flashlights. Stanley my be putting higher quality cells in later generation batteries but I haven't run into any of then in the greater. Phoenix metro area.
