QNAP TS-451D2 NAS - Should You Buy It?

Rob, this one vs Synology 220+ if were around similar price, should I buy this? Or stick with 220? I don't really have a need for 4 bay, and like what I hear about Synology SW.

Is this video misinformation? Is the J4025 a quad core as clearly listed in the corner. Or should I take Intels word that the J4025 is in fact only a dual core? Seems to me someone got themselves confused with the older (2015 TS 451+), which had a J1900 which has the slower quad core chip. It also only has an HDMI 1.4 1080p@60 Port. Unlike the newer TS 451D2 which has HDMI 2.0 4k@60.

Just to be clear, this NAS does NOT transcode to 4K with Plex.

Don't buy the Qnap NAS. I am the stupid guys who bought the TS451D2. Fluid raid system is very very very important!!!! Fluid raid system is very very very important!!!! Fluid raid system is very very very important!!!! Especially in NAS system, when you migrate different harddisk or when some of harddisk was failure. Qnap idiot raid system will make you a lot of trouble

File storage/server or AV Server? Do I need Raid 5 with a chunky loss of storage? Or will a jbod setup with max storage serve me better?
