I live in Nashville, and here's where I would go for barbeque: Texas. It's 650 miles to the near edge of the state, but totally worth the drive. There isn't a barbeque restaurant here that I would recommend to anyone, even though you can't throw a rock here without hitting a barbeque stand or someone whose family owns one. Fried anything on the menu is good indication it's not a barbeque place.
