@TravelingRobert8 жыл бұрын
+Guy Mooglie Oh yeah, there is definitely a lot to explore. We barely scratched the surface. Since I knew we didn't have much time here I just did the obviously touristy stuff just to get a feel for the city. In fact originally Nashville wasn't even on the map. I was just thinking of parking somewhere for a couple of hours and walk around. When I did some research I decided to stay for 24 hours.

Ok, I'm stumped. How did you capture the map on that scale and still keep it sharp? I can screen capture the map area and use motion to move the camera along the path but in order to cover that large of area, the image is pixelated when zoomed in that far. Any help would be great.

@TravelingRobert8 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I know what you mean about the high prices, but time was very limited on this trip so I chose what, at the time, seemed like the most convenient location. It was a long weekend and every other place had a three day minimum. I didn't feel comfortable living the rig unattended at the truck stop all day. Do you have any suggestion for next time?

Very nice….how is the water heater working? I've heard locals pronounce Louisville as Lou ville….they drop the middle . How do your relatives pronounce it ?
@TravelingRobert8 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I glad you asked, because I asked them specifically, my cousin's wife being a Louisville native, and they do pronounce the "i" in the middle. I also thought you were supposed to drop it. I guess it is one of those like New Orleans or Missouri; it depend. who you ask. By the way the water heater is the same.

Nomadic Fanatic does alot of 'boondocking', as you know I'm sure, Know you've done some but ever consider expanding that to save $$ ? Casino lots are pretty good for such. Find it a shaky proposition myself but for over night can work well.
@TravelingRobert8 жыл бұрын
+Robert Crummel I don't mind boondocking at a Walmart or a casino. In this trip alone we boondocked at Walmart a total of 4 nights and another 3 at the McCormick convention center in Chicago. I'll only do Walmart it if I'm going to be in the vehicle. I don't think I would leave the trailer alone in a Walmart parking lot and go explore a city.

Nashville is boring, you can see everything in one day. Broadway is packed but it's all the same douchey bars and 3 chord bands playing the exact same thing. Robert you need to visit Kansas City. It's twice as big as Nashville, has MORE live and better varied music scene; Jazz, Blues, R&B, Latin and rock. KC has 2 huge bar districts Power & Light and Westport that put Nashville to shame. Kansas City has for more to see and do historically and much better art scene. KC also has beautiful architecture. You must also visit the Plaza District in KC - it is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of the USA.
@TravelingRobert7 жыл бұрын
