I really appreciate how real you are about fussy babies etc. It’s true that lots of influencers don’t show these hard moments. And for us, it seems so perfect. I have a toddler and a newborn (he’s three months old and I also wanted to call him Maverick 😄 ), I know how hard it can be sometimes. So thank you for being real 😊

My baby came around the same time as yours and she loves the armless sleep sacks! Definitely worth a try. Also, thank you for talking about Maverick being fussy. It’s so hard when people only post the good of their babies, it almost makes me feel like something is wrong with mine because she IS fussy. When in reality, you’re right, people just don’t show the bad. So thank you, that made me feel so much better.

Watching your video and just remembering those first months! You’re so exhausted, but I want to know you’re doing great!! It gets so much easier. Coming from a momma of 6 and 3yr old boys now I still remember those days. And both boys loved the swaddle so I get the fear in switching. The magic suit is amazing!! And helped both of my kids and so many of my friends kids. Plus they look like little Michelin babies in the suit. They’re so cute 🥰

I swear by the Nested Bean sleep sacks. I think my son was 2 months old when I first put it on him. The weighted part makes them feel comforted. People have mixed opinions on it like every other baby product but it has always been a staple for us when it comes to his sleep. My son is 17 months old and he still sleeps in the sleep sack. I’m scared of how he will sleep once he outgrows this one because it is the last size they offer. You are rocking motherhood Rach! I love all of your content.🩵

You’re doing an amazing job ❤ We just cold turkey with the swaddle! It’s a hard few days but the quicker they integrate their startle reflex the better. I find it better than getting them used to something else you’re just going to need to stop doing in another couple of months and go through another transition! I’m a bit late to watching this so hopefully he’s already sleeping a little better! ❤

I have 3 kiddos and my youngest is 4 months. I’ve never really swaddled so it was kind of nice to not have to worry about them down the road with transitions. They all did that “jump scare” in the beginning and then got used to falling right back to sleep without needing to be swaddled up again or anything like that. I liked having some sleep sacks for colder nights and then their arms were still free.

First time momma to a 10 month old. We swaddled her a lot as a newborn until probably a few months old. We used the Zipadee sleep sack for maybe 2 weeks and then transitioned to just a normal sleep sack with arms out. Honestly it wasn’t even bad and most babies can adjust quickly. Sometimes cold turkey and switching to arms out works even better. We also co slept until she was probably 6 months old, while exclusively breastfeeding it was the only way I could sleep without waking multiple times a night. There’s ways to safely do so, and many moms do (most just don’t talk about it). You’re doing great x

Our 2mon baby loved the tradition swaddle for the longest time, he wasn’t breaking out of them but I wanted something that made nighttime diaper changes a little easier. We just bought the Happiest Baby Sleepea 5 second Swaddle. So far he really likes it. It has the traditional wrap around the arms inside to mimic the tightness of a traditional swaddle but then is zips as well to keep him in.
@cssquared36 ай бұрын
Halo sleep sack swaddle is what we used to transition all three of our kids out of the traditional swaddle. It allows for both arms to be out or you can have one out and one swaddled. You can have both arms out while also having the torso swaddled/wrapped tight. It was a game changer for the transition for us.

We SWEAR by the GunaMuna sleep sacks. They have one that swaddles their body too for smaller babies. They are so soft and they make blankets in the same fabric so the transition away from a sleep sack and to a blanket has been so simple as well!

I swaddled my son until about 3 months and then tried to put him in a sleep sack and he hated it, wouldn’t sleep. Switched to the baby Merlin magic sleep suit and it was amazing. He slept soooo well. We put him in a sleep sack when he started to show signs of rolling and he was perfectly fine! It was a great transition.

When my baby was breaking out of her swaddle and trying to roll, we transitioned to the zippadee zip to minimize her startle reflex but still give her arm control. We also moved her from the bassinet to the crib because she seemed to need more room to shift around. It was intimidating to make the switch, but she ended up sleeping a lot better afterwards.

Is he waking himself up with his arms/hands because he is breaking out of his swaddle? If he isn't rolling yet, maybe he just needs a more secure swaddle. We loved the happiest baby ones. They even have snaps in the shoulder area for when you are ready to transition to arms out. Also, the Avent plastic bottles are going through a class action suit right now for leaking chemicals into the milk.
