I know! We were pretty bummed we didn’t get to film up there because they do a lot of cool things every season. When we were there the theme was “pool party grill out” so they had a bunch of Airstream trailers, grills and a pool - that we didn’t show. It seems like a cool place to hang for sure!

You did a great job and shot all this prior to me beginning my job at the Bobby Hotel (Concierge - began 06/01/21). My desk is right next to the check in desk. Do you remember seeing the Rolling Stone artwork behind a desk? That's where I am. The Arcade - I eat lunch and people watch there almost ever workday (it is closed on Sunday). That's area is also the topic of this weeks video LOL. I also go into Printer's Alley a lot. There is a British Pub (owned by a Brit) with great food. Again, you really did a great job - Nashville thanks you. :)

We LOVEEEEE walking tours! Thank you guys so much for sharing this! I'm surprised people who are outside are not wearing masks. We have seen so many amazing videos about Nashville and knew there was a great food scene as well! Definitely a place we'd like to visit one day! Loving the street art that you mentioned! So pretty! What a nice security guard!!! Greyhound on the roof sounds so legit and it's a functioning bar! Thanks for showing us around!
@RuthandThomas3 жыл бұрын
Yes! My mom would always print off a packet of information about every place we traveled when we were kids and she would take us on our own self-guided tours. Walking tours are the best! And you should definitely check it out if you’re ever in the neighborhood, Nashville really does have a lot to offer. And we wish we would have had more time to hang out at that bar, because it would have been so fun to get a drink and go swimming - but we had so much we still had to see haha .. there’s always work to be done when you’re travel vlogging! 😂😂

we would have gone right up to that bus bar, too! shame you couldn’t film up there.
@RuthandThomas3 жыл бұрын
I KNOW RIGHT?? They probably would have let us if we didn't ask any questions, but I think they were more suspicious because we asked them if it would be okay - and then they had to ask so many different people.. And the crowds were pretty big, but we didn't spend too much time on Broadway St. and never went into any of the bars - but it was still a lot of fun!

@RuthandThomas3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah… it was a sobering place to spend time. There is so much history in that area - it would have been cool if they would have taken the Woolworths there and just turned it into a civil rights museum just devoted to the sit-ins and told the stories of the people who participated.

@@RuthandThomas that is so helpful. I’ve been studying the map and there’s so many places I want to visit but they are all scattered around and my son snd I will either be walking or bring scooters. @@jacobsnewadventures Scooters would probably make it easier!! We saw people riding scooters around when we were there. And I think our favorite place we ate was probably Edley's Bar-B-Que!! Bluegrass invented there? Hmmm...will have to consult my guitar-toting better half who comes from the Appalachians, where such music seems like it was played way before it was ever recorded.

Well… that’s what the packet of information and a few signs around town said. But.. it certainly also seems like it woulda come outta the appalachians.
