As an American who grew up in this atomized, self-indulgent, and increasingly narcissistic society with its "Western" value of individualism, it is fascinating to see such a beautiful expression of community and solidarity. I lacked good guidance and social stability when I was growing up in San Diego County, CA, so I look to the examples of more traditional societies. I pray that you enjoy continued success.
@sher71742 жыл бұрын
My dear friend. Don't think these Girls are all nice and well raised. They look innocent in their dresses. If you know what some of these do in their everyday life outside the weddings you would be shocked. The boys are not much better nowadays. Specifically those who live in english (US, Britain, Australia) speaking countries and North Europe. Skank level. I agree with you it's still not on the same self-indulgent, narcisstic level of "western value of individualism" but unfortunately Kurds have also been effected by this degeneration of culture and if it keeps going like this they might lose their sense of traditional socities. Because some of them literally have this delusion in their head that everything "Western" is good, not knowing how actual people who were born and raised in the modern western way of life are suffering from this. They need to hear from the mouth of people like you to understand this. If we modest Kurd tell them these deluded people think we are just being "backward".
@hamiltonsarain96082 жыл бұрын
It's a bit of a struggle for balance in this society. I am very much a free thinker and heterodox in my "spiritual" beliefs and practices, very much a product of the liberal education in this country, but I have had to learn from my own mistakes and the bad examples of others more than from good examples and good guidance, so I have become more and more modest and socially conservative over the years. The health of one's body, healthy relationships and healthy societies are more important than (excessive) wealth, fame, glamor, excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures, or unwholesome habits. But this is a strange time we're living in. I wish you success.
@sher71742 жыл бұрын
@@hamiltonsarain9608 Thank you for the words. And this right here are the words of a person who just like me has seen it and saw the negative effects of excessive "liberty" on a society. I try to explain people that liberty also has healthy limit. There comes a point where everything beyond is not "progress" anymore. They see it like a straight line while in reality it is like a circle. They don't understand that having as much "sexual freedom" as possible will not make them "experienced" and take their curiosity away. To think that having many sexual partners pre marriage will make someone calmer in marriage is like believing you can heal a Cocaine addict with more Cocaine until he is saturated. Both are addictions. Yet in the case of sexuality many believe this is the case while everyone would laugh at you, if you used the same argument considering drugs. Which is quite frankly absurd, funny and tragic at the same time.
