he doesn't say anything about the latissimus dorsi…. in the book they say that it is also an overactive muscle and in the practice exam too!

Ronierick Maia I am currently going over the study guide exam and it also mentions the latissimus dorsi; trying to understand how it would affect it.

I just finished my final exam recently :) Great feeling. Overactive Lats contribute to Anterior Pelvic Tilt so not sure why he doesn't mention it in this video. I think because he was just referring to the lower extremity. On a side note, if the hands are placed on the hips during the overhead squat assessment and the lower back isn't arching, then it means the Lats are the ones causing the arch.

Coach, could you help with this, please? The NASM article on overactive and underactive muscles wrt the APT says that hamstrings are overactive as opposed to what you say over here. Doesn't that seem correct? Please help.

Any video's on how to activate under active muscles in this type of case?
@jaureguerrero1262

You have to strengthen them. In this case, you'd do knee flexion for hamstrings and core work (crunches, planks etc.) for abdominals.

Would the QL also be over active with an APT?

I know im late but no, the psoas comes from the spine to the inside of the femur. Quadratus is solely on the back and never crosses over to the front of the body

@@XPurpleVortex It can cause the QL to be tight but a tight QL doesn't cause APT :)
