As an Esthetician who takes care of all ages of beautiful people, I'm continuously flabbergasted by people who make truly horrible and hurtful comments. It must come from a very unhappy human. You are gorgeous and your philosophy is what mine is at 67, just keep going and aspire to be happy and beautiful!

I also feel you are helping motivate us to do loving "Self-Care' aka "Self-Love"...That person completely lost the point...On the side I actually thing you are so adorable and often tell my sister about things you are doing and its out of fun for us to be inspired n chit chat about all this stuff in a crazy world. Thank you for being brave at the bottom of your grief, you have been thru so much, I can't imagine with your daughter so keep kicking-ass. She's proud of you I know this.. How do you think you got those wrinkles??? You got those from facial expressions that you do without even thinking. Facial yoga is training your muscles to stop doing that! "Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle." I love how you used the woman's thoughtless comment (which was an attempt to hurt b/c of their own frustration and self-hatred) in a positive way, bringing it all back to the purpose of your channel and how you came to be doing what you're doing. To climb out of such darkness and getting to where you are now, which is a place of lightness, health, positivity and energy is a true feat. And in the process, you have served so many others!! Thank you for sharing your journey, Kimberly, you've helped me and so many others enormously. *Thank you, Lucy, for the comic relief...our animals really do keep us humble, don't they?!*

I am 42 and starded skincare at 39. I watch a few YT channels "over 50" not because I hope to look 25 in my 60's, but because I think all women must take care of themselves at any age, inside and outside. And it's never too late to start, I think this is the story of this channel.

I just started my channel a few months ago and I have been getting the meanest comments, mostly that I am fat and that I am delusional if I think I can make my channel work. WTF? of course, these are guys with no channel at all. I think they just want me to feel the way they do: ugly and hopeless... but it actually encourages me because I don't want to be like them and the solution is to show up, do the work, and acknowledge that nobody is worthless.

Kimberly, you are a very beautiful person, inside and out. I lost my 45 year old sister in 2010 to a drunk driver and the grief of this has affected my whole family in so many ways. I think we all have aged at least 20 years and had negative effects on our health especially my Mom, who has had 3 major heart attacks since my sister passed. “BrokenHeart” syndrome is very real and I admire you for your strength and courage to learn how to live your life without your daughter. Continued hugs and Prayers for you and your family🙏🏻🥰

Watching my daughter physically heal after briken pelvis in 3 places while enduring real grief for the first time in her life and forming a friendship with her friend’s mom going through the grief has rocked my world. I still have my daughter & need to be joyful about it… but you arent joking about how this effects our skin health. I am reconciling that continuing to celebrate birthdays is a blessing, yet for me, I want to look, feel and be the best version of me no matter the age. Wrinkles, yup….droopy areas, yup… less lift, yup…..BUT, I am healthy, happy and will continue to keep working on my skin, my health and myself for ME. I just had a friend tell me about seed oils and the inflammation it can cause. It’s so strange because we grew up with foods seasoned with bacon drippings and then have avoided them for years. I’m going to start keeping mine again for seasoning. I’m getting rid of the seed oils too! Thank you.😀
@aquamarine_nz2296
@aquamarine_nz2296 Жыл бұрын
You'll be a lot better off for it. Seed oils have too much linoleic acid in them and that's very inflammatory. The thing I think about a lot too, is this - how much processing would it take to get that much oil out of a seed, or something like rice. Imagine the amount and the processes involved? It's crazy. The only vegetable fat that is healthy is coconut oil/fat. That's because it has saturated fat in it, which the body needs and like butter or tallow or lard, it's very low in linoleic acid. Extra virgin Olive oil is a bit higher in linoleic but still a lot better than other oils.

My goodness, Kimberly, you are such a source of kindness and inspiration on this platform- don't let the trolls get you down. You just have to wonder what is going on in some people's lives that they would make nasty comments like that!? Sheesh...

i’m glad that person made that very unnecessary mean comment bc i would have not known your story and good for you that you’ve come so far in 4 years. i’m so happy that you have obviously made a complete turnaround and made so many personal and physical improvements when u were so far at the bottom. you’re a blessing to so many of us. thank you for your openness and positivity and not letting anyone beat on you anymore. you are beautiful inside and out! better to be you than the mean people out there. ❤

Kimberly you are my favorite on KZbin. I look forward to every Sunday to begin my day. In fact I had just watered my tomatoes when I came in to have coffee and watch you. I still want to do micro greens. I live in a small town in Washington state. You are inspirational. I went through that dark hole after a 27 year broken marriage. But compared to your loss. You are a survivor. A blessing. I will be 65 soon. Planning my retirement. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I’m so thankful for your content- you’ve been teaching me about so many things- I am a devoted 62 year old student! Your content has made me think about many aspects of my health, not just makeup. (Still thinking about structured water!) A person’s beauty comes from the inside and you, my sweet mentor, are so very beautiful! I am hoping whoever wrote that comment forgot a word in her statement- “I DON’T know a lot of women who look better than you”. Love you! 🩷

There will always be nay sayers out there with nothing better to do, but personally I love your channel, so glad I happened upon it, you've given me a lot of helpful hints on skin care, products, etc, and by the way, I see a huge difference in your skin since you've started your journey, it looks really refreshed and so lovely and your neck as well! I was also laughing at Lucy on the couch, she was quite the busy gal!

I find you honest, hard working and beautiful. You're always sharing great tips that appeals to a large group of women. Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. There will always be negative comments from certain people who find fault with many things. It takes a special person to handle the negative comments in a positive way which you do perfectly. Keep in mind you have many fans who love and adore you. Again, thank you for all you do!

I agree with you on the not-so-nice comment. I don't feel like I'm in a competition with anyone except me. I want to be healthy; I want to look my best; I don't even want to hear, "You look great for a 70 year old" (which I am). I just want to have a healthy look about myself. I have learned a great deal from you, and I just started a couple of months ago. I don't have fine lines and wrinkles. I have deep ruts and ridges. I'm working on them. More than anything though, I want that healthy glow. You have it, and it is not just your face that glows, it is your whole personality and outlook. We all notice that. Thank you for showing us more than just skin care. Thank you for showing us the importance of positivity.

I know exactly where you're coming from! I was lucky enough to have inherited my mom's pretty good skin. She never did anything to her skin, or wear makeup, but she really didn't have alot of wrinkles-'even at 84. So, I never really did any skin care either. I slept in my makeup, never used moisturizers or any other products--even sunscreen! At 63 I had to have a liver transplant & I woke up a new person! I started taking care of my skin-'cleansing, using serums (inexpensive) & moisturizers & I wear sunscreen EVERYDAY!!! I started using Tretinoin about 2 yrs ago, and now at 69, my skin looks better than it ever has! It makes me so mad at myself for not having started this at 40!!! But, better late than never!

I can't believe someone would actually say something like that! You look amazing - you look closer to 50 than anywhere over 60! I love the wellness journey that you share with us. At 64 you encourage & motivate me to stay focused on mine so that I can feel & look my best. You've also encouraged & motivated me to want to share my wellness journey online, so I am learning & attempting to launch a channel as well. All in all, this stage of life is an exciting one, more exciting than I anticipated and you have been a huge part of that! You are not just pretty - you are beautiful inside and out!

Kimberly, I very much enjoy your videos. Your positivity is uplifting and that's what, in my opinion, we are supposed to be for each other. Your "nasty" viewer will manifest that attitude in their life. When someone says something to or about me that touches me or triggers me, I put on my "Teflon vest," let it slide off and move on. I always look forward to your vids and have learned a lot (I'm 70). Keep up you good work!! ❤

I live by the thought that what someone else thinks of us is none of our business. One thing that is beautiful about growing older (other than it’s truly a gift to be able to age), is that I no longer care what others think of me. I try to stay in the vibration of “love & above” & will not allow anyone in a lower vibration to effect me. It’s been a work in progress, but I currently am in the best place of my life, imo (I am 58). Thank you, Kimberly, for being a bright light in this world. Like I always told my boys growing up “don’t let anyone steal your joy”. Thank you for sharing & teaching us so much! Sending you so much love & light ❤✨❤️

I just ordered a basic shipment from Cook's Venture containing chicken and beef. It was quite easy with $25.00 0ff first order and free shipping. The organic chicken breasts at my local Publix are huge and tasteless so this is exciting. I live in Charleston SC so your move to Aiken was quite intriguing and now you are at the Villages. You are quite adventurous. I ordered red light. Nira and Nebulyft all because of you. I have followed you for years. You are so knowledgeable, I fearlessly take your advice on supplements as well. Thank you for doing the homework for us. Keep up the good work.

Digging yourself out of the dark whole, a place where grief can overwhelm you. You Kimberly have done that, you should be proud of yourself. You are a beautiful lady inside and out. Don't let anyone ever take your spirit away. Unfortunately in this time and day of social media while positive also has many negatives.
