It's actually not relevant. You get antiheal and he basically has the same healing as bork. You walk out of his E (or dash) and he can't deal damage anymore becaus no Max HP dmg no armor pen Also just lose him a few Cs with your jungler and his no dmg= no healing again

about the gameplay and "Old vs New" champions rambling at roughly 11 minutes. Garen's passive exists. Like, he can just heal and stay in lane because he also has no resource to spend. His Q denies any slow and SILENCES, his W gives him a shield + AMOR RESISTANCE, his E gives damage overtime and his Ultimate is basically an execute. BUT NOOOO, champion OP if champion has dashes (not even blinks, just dashes)

I hate how they use nasus as an example against modern times for overdesign, yeah nasus is simple and is the pinnacle of late game But to use a champion that has the strongest slow of the game with gigantic range, duration and targeted A gigantic area damage burst and dps ressistance reduction And a ultimate that gives him 3 free stats As an example is maybe not good lol

I think a better champion to make that point for is chogath, nasus can click on you and all the movement new characters get is naught, but cho q is one of the if not the hardest skillshot to hit, he's super kitable with 0 mobility passive that's not existent after 14 minutes the only good thing in his kit is the ult but even that isn't all that good considering we have sion w or garen and Darius r doing a better job as a health stacking or true damage execute respectively (not to mention that his r has the passive that makes him significantly bigger scaling w health so he's even easier to kite. They really need to rework that champ

I’ve been playing more Nasus and he’s been really fun for being so simple. An interesting thing I have seen is that Nasus can be pretty versatile. Going against an auto-attacking/attack speed laner, level up W to circumvent that, going against a lot of poke, do a little AP and level up E to poke as well and if anything else just do regular Q and hopefully get them stacks

10:39 Problem with that isnt only movemrnt speed slow but mostly that Attack Speed slow. Thats the whole reason why nasus support is picked vs kalista. Press W and she seize to exist. This is why nasus was prominent in proplay during summer, because it was ADCs all over the rift and Nasus counters them. Also the poke from E couldnt be matched by early game weak adcs. It was very funny when people called for nasus nerfs or garen nerfs just because of proplay and I was like guys, they just need to nerf those adcs on mid and top. No adc>no nasus>no garen

Tbf Garen was good independent of nasus because literally every item he likes was buffed to hell and he hadn't been nerfed in like a year. The millisecond the re-rework happened he dropped to a 44% wr in solo queue.

I think a thing to mention when talking about old passives v new passive is that passive design seems to have flipped. Old champs had passives that assisted the KIT, while new champs seem to have kits that revolve around or fuel the passive

Ah yes, Susan my first ever main in wild rift. There's something oddly satisfying when you get enough stacks and you obliterate someone with a Q. However i feel nasus suffers a lot with dash-inflicted champions if they don't stay still for a single second AND has stuns (looking at you irelia...). This got me nostalgic, i'll probably pick nasus in a normal later.. I forgot how depressive nasus's backstory was good lord. Poor guy.

8:30 Poor Syndra, she was my main when i played, and to this day Riot barely mentions her as a character. Every cinematic I was waiting for her, Ori, maybe Malz, Pre-rework Asol, and a few others. I understand you cant fit every character into expensive cinematics but damn even some of the early mainstays of the game get ignored. Props to wild rift for Syndra teaser, and Ori in star guardians

Lunar Guardian Nasus skin is really cool too! in like 2019 after 4 years without ever buying RP I put some just to buy it when it showed up in my winter promo for like 50%. I always wanted infernal nasus, but it never showed up and I'm not paying 1820RP for it, never showed in any crates either, sadge, been wanting it since its release in 2014...

Nasus has been my main since not long after I started playing League back in 2017. I love him, but his design is indeed a bit polarizing. Either super strong in low elo or a borderline useless troll pick in high elo aside from his AP-building instances. I still love him though, and hey I won his Space Groove skin for free in the Nasus discord back in the day by doing a dumb “hillbilly nasus” bit for a voice line redub contest

the problem with nasus gameplay wise is actually coming from the average game length in season 12 onward. We don't have 20 minute games anymore without 2 rift heralds so its really hard to bully a guy who can just wait for wave under tower and have his jungle play around him while he plays safe. the rest of your team cant do enough before he hits his spike to punish him.

Nasus is a really clever design for a more beginner friendly champ since his Q stacks really teach the importance of last hitting, farming, and scaling. But holy FUCK it's annoying to face a mid-late game Nasus after he gets like two items and Ionians since he can just perma wither you, and why is the attack speed slow even there? The slow is so that way he, a champ with zero mobility outside of summs, can stay on top of his target but what's the point of the attack speed cripple?

On the topic of camera-shake and power feeling from skills, it's one of the reasons i dropped LOL for MLBB(Yes the mobile copycat). League skills lack the oomph you have in Mobile legends, altough i wish League had those. If not for skins like you pointed out, basic effects feel very flat in league. Meanwhile in MLBB you have characters with their own theme music when they ult, ear moisting sfx when hitting basic abilities, power and shake when you land or recieve CC... And the feedback on the phone UI is amazing.

Two things on Nasus, 1. Go watch TBSkyen's vid on nasus and renekton lore he does a really good fan story 2. Nasus has some bullshit, but you dont get access to all his bullshit, you have to go ap for burst damage and tank for stack damage otherwise it dont work so good

People are fine with Nasus because he has clear weakness and strength. Like you said, the team you fought against in that game was super anti-Nasus, thus Nasus can be counter if the other team play well. Another reason why newer, high mobility champ got the hate is because a lot of time, they invalidate people who are good at macro playstyle but aren't good at micro playstyle. Basically some people prefer calculated, slowly build up resources and objective playstyle over fighting and skirmish but those high mobility champ invalidate those style of play. It doesn't matter how good the Nasus or Garen played macro if they can't touch the Yasuo, the Yone or the K'sante.
