*whispers* 🤫 Sorry for suddenly losing my voice half way through this video! 💛 On the topic of my last tip about not feeling guilty creating space, I’ve been thinking about making a video about the power of being an introvert, which is something I’ve been learning about a lot recently. one of the best quotes I’ve ever read is “the 20 minute walk that I do is better than the 5 mile run that I don’t do” that changed my life & I appreciate you addressing the importance of little choices in this!

Can we not ignore the fact that Natacha literally lost her voice and still took time to film? One like= One Appreciation because I'd bet half the people beginning a lifestyle would be lost without tips like these

"Being healthy is the sum of all the little choices we make." Couldn't agree more. It's not how many reps you can do, how long you can run, or how many vegetables are in your fridge. It's simply making those little choices time and time again knowing that you are making yourself better. Sooner or later you'll have La Croix instead of beer, a smoothie instead of cookies, and go for a run instead of sitting in front of a screen and you'll think, "How did I even get here?" That's the goal.

i know you did a video on wether to bulk or cut first, but could you also do a video about „skinny fat“ and what to do? i feel like there are so many different opinions out there and it’s kinda confusing 😅 I love your videos ♥️ and peaky blinders is awesome!!
@natachaoceane5 жыл бұрын
hey beautiful! Thank you so much for the suggestion, they help me so much. Sorry for asking a basic question and I'll look it up too, but what do you mean by skinny fat and what kind of change would you like to create? I'd love to really understand what you have in mind so I can hopefully answer as best I can 🤗
@daslulu67055 жыл бұрын
Natacha Océane as far as i understood it, skinny fat means that you are at a normal or even low weight (and bmi) and look skinny in clothing, but your tummy is like soft/ no muscle definition and your body fat percentage is in an unhealthy range. I tried to find out what the best approach is, but there are just so many different opinions 🤷🏼♀️ maybe a video about this can help others too 😊 thank you so much and i hope your voice gets better soon 😚 (hope i explained it good enough, english isn’t my native language, so sorry for any grammar mistakes 😅)

Natacha, I started watching your videos a year ago and you really inspired me to start leading a healthier lifestyle. I lost 2 stone as I was overweight and I started to look after my body by joining a gym, running, eating healthier options but not cutting out treats just controlling my intake and I'm a very busy working mom of three children aged 12,8 & 4. If I can do it anyone can do it. You're inspirational and so motivating to watch, I just wanted to say Thankyou.
@gabimai34214 жыл бұрын
you're my favorite youtuber. i feel like recently i've gotten into this all or nothing mindset. like if i don't have time to go to the gym, i just start getting into this negative cycle of not going to the gym or eating badly. and it takes a lot for me mentally to be like okay...lets just start over. and then i go full swing into it again. then end up burning out. but realizing, hey, i can do a little bit of something each day. it doesn't have to be a full workout. it doesn't have to be a full idea of a healthy day of eating. it can be little bits here and there that make a difference. i love that so much. thank you natacha.

Hey so I’m a dancer, and I just wanted to say that although you probably know this, there are some very dangerous mistakes a lot of people make when they’re stretching (ballistic stretching and pushing their boundaries too much) just remember that while stretching shouldn’t be comfortable, it shouldn’t be causing you pain so to speak!

I’m fully aware that this video was not made specifically for me but OH MY GOD it feels like it was!!! This is my exact struggle right now; I literally go through the “it’s faster to just get ready without going to the gym” thought process almost every morning and it’s so frustrating and totally messes with my depression. Thank you so so so so so much for this; I know it won’t fix my problems but just knowing that I’m not alone AND having these ideas and tips to try and get around that is such a breath of fresh air. Lately I've been doing squats while reading. One chapter on, one chapter off. I don't have to really think about it and get a few extra active minutes in. It definitely is a sacrifice with one thing versus another. Fitness/health and reading and my skincare take priority. I've been good about cutting up fruit and having it in the fridge. Currently it is kiwi, watermelon, and grapes! And I can grab that when I'm feeling munchy and I usually want that as opposed to the crisps because cool fruit feels better on these still hot days.

I recently watched you do the US Military fitness tests and as an ex-Army man I thought those were very cool. Starting in the fiscal year 2020 (October) the Army will be changing their test to a 6 event Army Combat Fitness Test. It would be very interesting to see you attempt that then compare/contrast the differences. The new test is a MUCH more effective measure of fitness than the old push up / sit up / run test ever was. Here is a link to the events and their current order, it may change slightly before implementation - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmq1nYZugb-ajMU

Here’s my top tip - if you have a commute to make, make it an active one. It’s a great gym replacement, trust me! I used to be intimidated by my 24 miles cycle commute, but now it’s one of the best parts of my day AND I can even multitask by listening to the news/an audiobook/new album that just came out...
@lizziew49545 жыл бұрын
This came at such an important time for me. I've just started vet school (my life's aspiration!) coming straight off of a summer where fitness and being active outside was my number one priority, and I was exercising up to 4 hours a day. Accepting the fact that studying now has to be my priority, and that fact that I no longer have anywhere near as much time or energy to dedicate to fitness, has been a big shift: but having watched this and seeing how it's all of the little healthy choices that make the biggest difference has really made me excited about working small changes into my new daily routine 💜

Balancing time is so hard. I work 32/36h a week and follow 2 master programs in law. I run out of time daily and making a good choices is hard. Specially when your colleagues eat like shit. Every Monday I am gone from 7 am until 8 pm and Tuesday from 8 am until 11 pm. 😅 because I follow classes and work 8h on those days. Then uni life from 9-5 the rest of the week and working again in the weekend. So because i have to plan cooking, studying and housework/shopping around that, I try to walk to uni, cycle to work and go cycling on my race bike or mountain bike at least an hour per week to relax and jump in the gym once. And be okay with it. More time will come one day.

Personally, I've been having difficulties with bicep tedonitis on an off for two years now. I've going to physical therapy and doctor two times and had a MRI done to make sure nothing else was going on. It's definitely impacted me in the gym and I've gained fat. I've been doing research about whether or not being in a deficit will impair healing and what foods that can help with recovery. SO much conflicting information out there. So yeah, just putting a bug in your ear for a potential video. As a person who has self image and self esteem issues, your videos are really helpful with my mindset. I loved the way this video was filmed and edited! Great content too obviously, but I can tell the effort it must have taken to produce this video and it shows! Awesome job!

Oh my god I can't believe you just mentioned so casually that your dissertation file got corrupted and you had to start over?!! That sounds absolutely horrific. I can't even imagine. Everyone, back up your files right now!

Thank you for this! Like other people said, the timing on this was perfect. I just started my very first graduate job and I’m struggling to find the balance between my healthy lifestyle and work life. Trying to fit smaller workouts gym in after work to give myself a boost!
