I really miss her. I got to meet her many years ago at Cornerstone. James Cleveland brought her up to sing, and she sang a hymn, she sang every verse! We were amazed!

What A Voice... I Loved her Gospel Singing even MORE than her Secular Songs! She had Loved ones, from my Home Town area, (Her Grandpa, Reverend Coles), had a Church there, In the North Chicago/Waukegan area, my Dad was Very good friends/Classmates with her Uncle, (Ike Coles who came by our home when I was a kid), both were Musicians and close friends. Years later I had the Big Pleasure of meeting her in Inglewood Cali at a Norms Resturant, (her cousin, Eddie, from North-Chi, was her Band Director in her Las Vegas Shows, saw me and and introduced us!) She was a gracious and Beautiful Lady! But when I saw her sing at a Local Church in LA, It was SOMETHING ELSE! The LADY could TRULY Deliver a Song!!! She went through a lot in her life I'm so GLAD Testimony here is IN CHRIST The LORD! May she Rest in Peace with Him Forever!
