There's an official video of Natalie that I've only seen ones. ...back in the 90's I would love to see again. ....she's dancing through the fallen leafs playing the fiddle. ...it's so beautiful ☺

I wish Alison had played the fiddle part with Natalie on their song. Would've been killer! And then Alison wouldn't have to just stand there lol

Omfg I have been pulling my hair out searching for this. It was one of my "formative" tune collections in the early days of my fiddling. The year this was broadcast to be exact. Couldn't even find it to purchase online. And it was here, six years ago.... ummm I need help 🤤🤦🏼♂️

OK, now I won't be shy to say I'm going to celebrate her and play her work as part of my Christmas Eve show, 10pm to midnight... Http://www.radiowinchcombe.co.uk It's a live show. Links to previous shows - 17 Dec and every Thursday night - might give you pleasure... You'll see the playlists are unusual. The show is called Night Train. I'll signal your channel here on KZbin.

track 01: The Farewell March / Charlie Hardie's reel / Frank Gilruth reel / MacArthur Road track 02: Bog an Lochain strathspey / Prince Charlie reel / Gabe Arsenault's / Grant's track 03: Get me Through December (lyrics Alison Krauss) / fiddle solo & song melody "Neil Gow's lament for the Death of His 2nd Wife," by Neil Gow.
After watching this again, twenty years later, I’m thinking, “why was someone like Jann Arden featured mid-show, singing about cherry popsicles?!” Like it was a break from the fiddling? That’s shady on the part of production, especially having her perform after the one and only ALISON KRAUSS…who, by the way, should’ve joined Natalie playing fiddle on their song. It’s just my opinion. Jann sings a song that sounds like she wrote it in five minutes. Or like a child wrote it in their special poetry class. The lyrical content and subtleties of Alison versus Jann… and they made Jann go after, interesting.

Don’t believe me, just pull up the lyrics to “cherry popsicles” and “Get me through December” and read them side by side. 😬

@@erikm8372 It was a documentary about Natalie MacMaster who is Canadian by the Canadian BRAVO, Natalie admits to her naivety of Allison's capabilities and thus popularity which I figure is mostly a Southern US thing anyway. To them Canadians she's just another one of them American country people and since its a show about Natalie they were just both names on a list of people Natalie admired Jann seemingly more so who also happens to be Canadian.......but I'm just guessing......blame Canada....have you ever been to Canada? Probably be aghast to learn how little they care about American culture.....but I digress
