I believe the boy, it all makes sense for how a 21 year-old would act. He was kinda love bombed by an older girl who seem to have everything under control, and she made him feel special. It seemed like he just liked feeling loved and important to someone, especially when you have no other support system nearby, you’ll cling to someone like that who makes you feel welcomed. Even if he didn’t take her too seriously, it’s nice to have a sense of belonging. You never expect to be taken advantage of and hurt by someone who acts like they have your best interest at heart. We always say a 21 year-old should know better, but as a former 21 year old, I strongly disagree. A mid-30s though?! Trying to make a 21 year old into a step dad. That’s not normal and she took no accountability, just deny and deflect.
