I'm a physician (internal medicine), and have known about my PCOS for ten years. I've been seeing an REI for over a year. And these videos are the MOST information I have ever received. I have seriously guilted myself for my PCOS for the past DECADE. I've only watched about 5 of your videos, but my god I wish I had been watching these all along. Thank you for what you do.

After watching your videos, I would like to say that I am truly blessed. I have been struggling with PCOS for years and it wasn’t until I started TTC was when I found out I had PCOS. We tried for 6months all unsuccessful, doctor put me on 50mg of clomid and I got pregnant my first round. We are truly best! Currently trying for baby number 2.

Such great information and I'm glad that study was done! I started with clomid and didn't respond but responded alright to letrozole (with RE monitoring). Ultimately, I needed IVF but at least letrozole got me ovulating where clomid just left me frustrated.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's so helpful to hear from other women who have been through similar journeys. I'm glad to hear that letrozole was able to help you ovulate, and that you were ultimately able to achieve your goal of becoming pregnant with IVF. You're an inspiration!

Hi Natalie! Would you be able to do a video on the topic of post-pill amenorrhea / PCOS / irregular periods for younger women not looking to conceive but just regulate their cycle? Would love to hear your thoughts on this and any ovulation induction methods for this (e.g. Metformin). Thank you always for the amazing and informative videos!

Pcos girlie here! I’m a little confused. I have a period every month but I don’t ovulate. My Lh levels are super low. Ive been on metformin for about 8 months now and still not ovulating. Now will start leterozole soon. Is that common to have a period and no ovulation?

Im in the same boat and we’re doing letrozole to have a baby. Dr. told me is best case to menstruate because that means the uterus is healthy and shedding. I’m hoping we get pregnant on the first try with letrozole.

Clomifen or Letrozol are not to be taken for months in a row. Please do some research and take some cycles off. Good luck 🍀

I have started Clomid 100mg w trigger shot for the first time. Before the fertility doctor put me on the meds she checked my uterus on cycle day 3 & my linning measured 10mm. She questioned what day I was in my cycle and said that it was thick for cycle day 3 & should be between 2-4 mm. Why would my linning not shed? And do you think this would be factor of not getting pregnant?

What reason would a doctor prescribe unmonitored Letrozole cycles for a couple with no known fertility issues (as in they just started trying and neither has unexplained infertility)? What are the possible outcomes?

Dr. Crawford, in the video you mentioned that with PCOS, it is common for multiple eggs to develop at once. You also mentioned that Clomid can cause a thinning of the uterine lining. Is Letrozole (lrel) less likely to cause a thinning of the uterine lining than Clomid?

I haven't had a menstrual cycle on my own since I was 14. I stopped having them after I took a medication called depekote for a seizure disorder. I have never been able to get my body to have a period without the assistance of birth control even with a low glycemic diet, rigid exercise routine, and extreme weight loss. It just doesn't happen for me. I just got married and we want to have kids soon. I hope something works for us even if it is IVF

I have an AMH of 9.1 & I am 35yo. I do not have PCOS. We have been trying for 19 months. Within that time frame we have had, 13 months on induction medication (both clomid & letrezole) & 3 failed iui’s. I only grew 2 dominant follicles on 150mg of clomid, but it thinned my lining. Is this common without having PCOS? Would using injections be a waste of time? Thanks!

I'm so sorry to hear you've been struggling to conceive for 19 months. That must be incredibly frustrating, especially after trying medication and IUI cycles. Here are some thoughts, but it's important to remember I can't give medical advice: An AMH of 9.1 at 35 is generally considered a good reserve. It suggests you have a good number of eggs. However, AMH doesn't tell the whole story about egg quality. Thinning of the uterine lining can happen with Clomid. It's not uncommon even without PCOS. Letrozole might be a better option for some women in this case. Injections (follicle-stimulating hormone or FSH) can be a good next step. They offer more precise control over ovulation compared to Clomid or Letrozole. Definitely discuss your situation with a fertility specialist. They can review your medical history, perform tests, and recommend the most appropriate course of treatment for you.

Hi Dr. I was trying to conceive, my OB-gyn put me on Letrozole. The first cycle was 2.5 mg for 5 days but my eggs didnt grow. On the 2nd cycle ,it was add up to 5mg for 5 days again but only 1 egg matured but no success in pregnancy. The last cycle put me on 7.5mg, 2 eggs matured but I didnt get pregnant. I have a PCOS, no menstruation. Should I suggest my OB-gyn to put me on Clomid next time? Thanks

I’m 60 years old and have PCOS. I took Clomid from 1984-1989. I had four miscarriages followed by ovarian drilling. Then I lost weight and was able to get pregnant on our own, carried to term and delivered by C-section. And then had four more miscarriages. What should I be aware of and be on the lookout for in the future?

Hi Natalie. Can you please explain ovulatory PCOS but no getting pregnant

The main obstacle with PCOS is ovulating, so if you know for a fact that you ovulated that cycle then it isn't anything to do with PCOS. If you released an egg and there was sperm to fertilize it, either the sperm never got to the egg; if it did, the embryo didn't implant; or maybe the sperm isn't compatible with the woman's immune system. Keep in mind as well that a healthy, fertile couple in their mid-twenties still only has a 20% chance of conception per cycle, so even if you do ovulate it isn't guaranteed.

I think the hormone imbalances associated with PCOS, particularly high testosterone, can impact egg quality, which can make conceiving more challenging even if you ovulate.

Hello, I was diagnosed with PCOS, My fertility doctor prescribed my first round of Letrozole 5MG. 2 tablets of (2.5MG) for 5 days. When we checked Cycle Day 8 he said my follicle was 25mm and was too big for this cycle. I was wondering shouldn’t he prescribed 2.5MG 1 tablet a day for 5 days. Did the Letrozole affect the size of my follicle? When I asked my doctor he said no it has nothing to do with it because Letrozole is an ovulation inducer but how would doubling the medication not affect my follicle growth? Please advise

Did you get your period after you ovulated subsequent to take Letrozole?

I had the same thing and my egg was too small on day 8. So then I took 3 tablets of 2.5 for 5 more days and my egg grew to 19MM. We did the timed intercourse and now we’re waiting. I think it all depends on how your body responds to the letrozole. Especially if it’s the first round. I’m doing 3 rounds if it doesn’t work I’m doing IVF.

So we've been trying for over three years, finally this past winter we started at a clinic, and was diagnosed with pcos this spring - next period cycle, we're starting letrozole, but you know, that could happen on... whenever my uterus gives up on WAITING for a damn egg that isn't coming lol

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and a D&C 4 years ago. Ever since then we haven’t been able to conceive. After watching your videos I had commented on one of them and you suggested to go get an evaluation for scar tissue which I have scheduled now. My periods are normal I do ovulate which I track every month. My question is what do I ask my ob what tests do I need to do? I can’t afford any doctor’s apt. So this is my only apt at the moment.

What are the options for someome with high AMH?
@tebmedtourism
@tebmedtourism 6 ай бұрын
Women with high AMH typically have active ovaries with a large number of eggs. This can be an advantage for fertility, as it means they are more likely to ovulate. However, women with high AMH are also at increased risk for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) during fertility treatment."

We've been trying for 4 years with a diagnosis of PCOS and started clomid rounds 2 years ago and I got pregnant our first cycle with it but unfortunately miscarried at 8 weeks and had to get a D&C. I had a chemical pregnancy 2 months after the miscarriage and had 2 more cycles on clomid with no success. I started letrozole at the beginning of this year with still no luck...what should I do next? Should I suggest testing to be done by my OB or should I go see a fertility specialist and talk about ivf?
