Years ago, when I started treating people the same way they treated me (ex flaking, not responding, being unreliable) they all had something to say in a rage. If I had responded to them the way they did to me, they’d say I had the problem. It’s a process because in my job when I stood up for myself, people would make comments and drag me through the mud. It’s a learning process but living authentically is a lot better for my health and happiness.

In a nutshell it’s being nice with boundaries or even more concise is “having boundaries”

So my SP has been asking to see me every weekend, we spend the night together, act like a couple then I leave. He chases me and texts me throughout the week too, but he isn’t 100% there yet so I actually said no to seeing him this weekend, I said I deserve more. It was so hard for me to say no, because I did want to see him. I’ve always been too nice and now I feel slightly guilty as I think it upset him a bit but I know I deserve more, a lot more. This is the new me.

Interesting video. It's a shame how many people treat others terribly. I see it as we have to learn to treat ourselves as well & as nice as we want to treat others. Fill our own "cups" with what we need then pour a little into other people's cups but only people who actually deserve it & appreciate it.

Thank you so much. Your video and message has come at a great time for me. I ended a one sided relationship in November and was thinking I made a mistake. But he never respected me and took advantage. Im working on the parts of me that thought that was the best I could get. Thank you so much for reminding me of my worth 🥰

Good advice. Since I've been working on my self concept, I am not accepting this kind of behavior. Family I will call them out. Co-workers I am ignoring more and more not engaging in chit-chat so some of them can back stab me. Of course my SP who I love I am also being more silent around her. She must know how I feel so I am waiting for her. but I want the full relationship not nonsense and wasting my time. and I say that with love. She needs to realize the only man who has probably ever chosen her first deserves to be treated better because I will love her forever if she gives me the chance.

I really feel this right now. My SP contacted me again but I neither want to explain to him (again) that I'm disappointed nor be really nice. I think I might still have been a bit too nice as in I replied politely and also joked a bit... but at least I didn't show much interest or asked him many questions but gave little energy. I don't know if I still want him or not tbh, I'm really unclear about it. He just messed up so many times and I'm either fully done now or close to it. If he doesn't step up his game MASSIVELY very soon

My SP & I have been together for 4 years, I gave him a bunch of thoughtful gifts, almost 15 or 20 of them, for Christmas, all he gave me was a phone charger & an oil diffuser, like wtf... should I be mad, sad or disappointed? smh ...
@nolimits749517 күн бұрын
This is why men don’t deserve gifts, receiving is feminine. I’ve another acquaintance who gifts her bf expensive watches and clothes and all he does is simply wish her on birthday.

At what age can we start treating a man as a man, and when should we still see him as a boy? When can we start expecting that he will start acting like a grown-up man? Can we expect it from a 20 year old? 22 year old? 25 year old? Or is 30 the age when we can start expecting a man to act like a man and actually want a woman, a partner, not just a sex partner and someone to have fun with?

@@Dsupernova27I think a lot of people cannot handle being called out and being held accountable. I found so many talk over you, ignore something you bring up or just flat out deny there’s an issue expecting you to play along. If you are confident in yourself then just go on with your day. It sounds like you would be giving more to make that call.
