Atom Eve's logo is supposed to be the female symbol _with electron orbits around it_ (three in the books, two in the adaptation), but due to a mix-up between the design team and the animators the simplified design intended for distant shots ended up being used for most of the close up shots in season one (we can briefly see the correct symbol in two or three scenes in the whole season), so it ended up looking like it was crossed out. "Invincible" is a MASTERCLASS in subverting expectations, I remember reading the comics in the early 2000's and it always keeps you wanting to see where the narrative is going and you can almost never guess AND the subversion is almost always worth the dissonance. Most times when an artist tries to "subvert the genre" the subversion ends up being worse than what you started out with. It's like you were expecting a microwave pizza and they give you an unopened can of cheap tuna, but this show gives you a delicious homemade calzone.

Ya this show does what I wish more shows would do, it takes time setting up characters, which means they seem boring at first, because that's natural, people aren't eccentric characters of who they are 24/7. To alleviate that they introduce plotlines at a mile per minute, by the end of season 1 there will be so many hanging plot lines you'll wonder how they could possibly keep it together.

If you didn’t know, JK Simmons was also Tenzin in Legend of Korra lol.

Easily one of, if not THE best line in the show came from the tryouts for the Guardians. "I'm gonna assume that was a joke and I dont have to beat your ass until you call me Dad again." And the fact it came from the voice of Cyborg makes it ten times better

As an Invincible girly growing up, this show releasing on Prime made me cry. The casting, acting, action, characters and story are all STELLAR. JK Simmons is the ONLY PERSON who could play Omni-Man IMO I freaking love him as an actor

Glad you're covering this! This is currently my favourite superhero show on the air right now. Can't wait until the second half of Season 2. I have to agree that the writing for the dialogue between the characters are not the best and tend to be boring, but the bigger plot points that occur from time to time is what compensates for that.
