But when I see makeup related content I’m like… why are you yelling at me… please stop yelling at me 😂 I just can’t with it either! I don’t understand how there are people who can buy a product based off a singular tik tok “review”. Maybe if you’ve watched a bunch of them?? But for me, if I’m thinking about buying something I watch at least three long form videos about it. I know some people who will check tik tok for swatches since it’s easier than having to find the swatches in a longer video if you don’t have time to watch the whole thing. So I guess I understand that could be helpful to quickly compare the product photos to an actual person’s swatches. But with the lying, filters and overhyping, I’ll stick with my KZbinrs!!

I’ve heard from other KZbinrs that they refused to work with Florasis (am I spelling that correctly?) because they were required not to say anything negative about their products. It’s a shame because that’s a deal breaker for me as a consumer.

I agree with you, and see where you’re coming from but also a lot of creators will not accept a sponsorship if they don’t like the product. So depending on the creator, you can rest assured they would not be working with Florassis if they didn’t like the products, for example Angie, Robert Welsh and Heather Austin I always trust! I always take my own polish to the salon. Allows me to do touch ups later if necessary. It’s also MUCH MORE hygienic. I’ve never had a salon say anything or act surprised when I bring my own.

Nail polish cannot be put under the gel 💅🏽, but if you have hard gel, you can easily put nail polish on top (and take if off at any moment), like on regular nails, either yourself or in the salon. That's what I do: I've been wearing hard gel for many years, and I love doing nail art myself. If you're wearing soft gel, then wearing nail polish in top and especially taking it off might be problematic.

Nail tech here. I put a uv gel top coat over regular polish on my own nails all the time, we just don’t do it on clients because regular nail polish has to be COMPLETELY dry before doing so, otherwise it’ll wrinkle and trap moisture etc. but yeh I do it at home all the time

Florist by Ellis Brooklyn is a relatively fruity floral, actually. I love it. Also, have you tried the Fenty fragrance? It is a surprisingly complex and unisex floral. I wouldn’t even call it a floral actually. But it does have some floral in it, but it really surprised me!

I do my own nails and I put a gel topcoat on top! It's a little hit or miss, sometimes the top coat causes the polish to like "ripple" or fold. I think the thicker polishes don't do as well, but I've had absolutely no problem with polishes like the holos from HoloTaco or the cremes from Essie. You also have to make sure the polish is 100% dry before putting on the top coat.

I actually feel very exited about Mmmmitchell blush palette as a non makeup-artist. I do not like the look of bronzer on my face so I only use gray eyeshadow as contour but still sometimes I feel like wanting a bit more "life" on my face. But in the same time I was never really exited by blush as a product category so I feel very overwhelmed by the number of options. So for the past few weeks I've been in search for a palette that would contain all the shades I could ever want to put on my face and that would fit any look I could ever create so I can just buy one palette and stop caring for a very long time

Yes, you can absolutely put a gel top coat over nail polish. Just be sure to get a small travel UV lamp, let the polish fully dry before adding gel top coat, and depending on what your nails are constructed from some acetone pads and a good double sided file and buffer. I'm allergic to gel polish but can get away with this method 💅now and then. Or you could try nail wrap stickers, just be sure to put a top coat over them for added shine and durability. They peel right off and don't damage your nails. There are lots of lovely ones out there including gel nail wraps that are semi cured and you would still need a lamp for these kind.

Angie if you have acrylic tips , you don't need gel. I bring cases of nail polish as I own thousands of polishes. You just need to buy a great top coat like poshe . You reapply top coat every 4 days. I go once a month and every nail is hand painted with my own polishes .

Yes, you can add gel top coat on regular nail polish. I do my own nails and the results are salon like. I do hard gel to make my nails stronger, then regular Polish (make sure it’s fully dry, like a couple of hours of drying time or overnight) then I use a gel top coat. Results are lasting 3+ weeks
