The referenced event is a clear outcome of the human-shield strategy used by Hamas. This is a tragedy that just waits to happen because Hamas commanders not only hide among civilians, but also store ammunition in designated sheltered zones. In this case, the secondary explosions feeding the fire and the intercepted phone conversations provide clear evidence for Hamas’s successful human-shield strategy, which seeks to amplify Gazan’ casualties, and thereby shift public opinion against Israel. It is also notable that the BBC interviewer is twisting the facts and even cites casualty numbers which exceed by several folds the numbers reported by Hamas.
