It’s feet up and cup of tea time when Ms Haussdorf is on the telly. She’s like an old friend by now. She’s so clear-spoken and articulate she makes me feel (even) more intelligent without my having to expend any brain-cell energy. She always speaks sincerely. She’s great.

Israel should take Egypt to court at the ICJ for closing off the Rafah border to humanitarian aid in Gaza. This would help quiet down some of the lawfare committed against Israel and change the narrative to represent the real situation.
@tommyrotton94684 ай бұрын
it wouldn't. There are two groups involved. Muslims who believe legally Muslims can do no wrong to another Muslim, but everyone else are worse than beasts with no rights to be critical of a Muslim or have a legal case against one. Its all in the Sharia and the lawfare along with roping in the useful idiot students are part of the greatest Jihad. And the other group are the Jews.

Half?
@laurentschmidt27584 ай бұрын
@@OnlybyGrace-e57 Yes you could make a case for that - let me rephrase the OP slightly, in more than half (22 out of 38) the countries (rest of the world taken as one country) the public voted either 12 or 10 points for Israel. Which - considering the song in question - was a solidarity vote - just as putting Ukraine at #3 was.

The animosity against Israel is mind boggling. It borders on insanity that these international legal institutions, have nothing to say in regards to the fact that Palestinians, who openly murder Jews that wander into their districts face no condemnation from Palestinian authorities. International legal authorities are also deaf, dumb and blind to the fact that Palestinians who enter into Israeli communities raping women, torturing, murdering and kidnapping babies, children and adults, are rewarded for doing so by their governing authorities. The absolute silence from the United Nations and the ICC in regards to this barbarous psychotic hatred and violence towards Israelis by Palestinians, can only be regarded as consent and proof they are AntiSemitic.

I don’t see how Israel’s actions differ from the USA and UKs actions in Iraq and Afghanistan….. 🤔
@howardtenenbaum35374 ай бұрын
The Eurovision voting comment is interesting. This is a music competition but in reality it has become highly politicized. So in that case I take the international voting results, and in this case the UK's voting as showing support for Israel by the silent majority. And for anyone who says that Eurovision is not politicized, I suggest that they listen to what several of the contestants said/did. I won't bother describing what they did except to say their actions were politically charged and wholly antisemitic.
@howardtenenbaum35374 ай бұрын
Re the comment that freedom of speech is sacrosanct I think we need to examine this once hallowed principle. When freedom of speech is allowed to extend to what we're seeing on campuses, in the streets and so on, we see that in effect, the West is committing suicide. Freedom of speech is not a command for the West to self-immolate. Absolutism for any high minded and 'good' idea or principle must never mean that such well-meaning principles should be used as weapons upon society.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine. The Russian military has shelled with high power artillery the town of Vovchans'k. There are only civilians there, the Ukraine military are behind the town. The civilians are being killed or they leave. That is a war crime. The commander ordering the attack is culpable. "I was only obeying orders" doesn't cut it. Let's all remember that the obscenity of Srebrenica did not qualify the state of Serbia as perpetrating genocide, according to the ICJ, the highest "Court" of the UN.

Natasha is right, but I don't like Farege, because the far right is not the answer for our problems! Neither the far left! We have to choose our leaders better, and they have to be defending our interests in democracy, not their interests or other agenda's!
@G6JPG3 ай бұрын
We need to ditch the party system, so MPs stand as themselves. Then they'd not be forced to support things (in either direction) they don't agree with.
