@@bobjensen198 Yeah we did. I have often wondered though how an episode of "where are they now" would look for the dudes I skated with if we had access to all the parks that popped up around Chicago, quite literally, the week after we all got a 9-5/spouse/education/prison-bunk or a combination thereof. Regardless, they were the best of times and i'd not trade them for anything.

He still to this day, talks about how he was blown away about how much good music was out there that he had never heard of and was never played on the radio or M-TV. 8:49 On the subject of helmets when learning to surf: I wouldn't recommend it. It becomes really heavy really quickly, which doesn't help when you're learning to surf. It is difficult enough as it is. When you learn to surf and stay in the conditions for your level, you will rarely have waves that warrant a helmet. I've taken many boards to the head, but it is not really an issue. Kind of like bumping your head. Not having a helmet on teaches you, and forces you, to always protect your head when you fall, something need to learn as a surfer. Having a helmet from day one will give you a false sense of safety. Your face is much more fragile and more likely to get hit. Protect your head. Always. The helmets become important on heavy or big waves, especially on reef. The impact is much heavier and on reef, you have the added risk of cutting yourself. When surfing, you'll belly flop most of the time if you have a bad fall. Sometimes you bump the sandbar or hit the reef, which sucks, but in smaller waves the risk isn't too great.
@markf39405 ай бұрын
Honestly I do think he is wearing a helmet but a hood after she tried to describe it
@Yvolve5 ай бұрын
@@markf3940 No, she was talking about head trauma. A hood doesn't stop that. It is also very common to wear a hood, especially in California. The water can be really cold, which is why Jack O'Neill started selling wetsuits in Santa Cruz.
