Sorry not sorry, but I really liked this movie. I mean, it shows such good contrast between Patience- the sweet and shy sweetheart, and then Patience- the sultry and carefree Catwoman. This was in NO WAY supposed to be DC or Batman related, why are you guys saying that? This isn't Gotham and there is no Bruce Wayne here. This is the story of a woman "reborn" with ACTUAL. CAT. ABILITIES. trying to find out who her killer(s) are while trying to lead a quiet life and sustain somewhat of a relationship that in the end she has to break off; not about some woman who really likes cats and tries hard to put in cat noises with daily speech wearing a fucking catsuit and mask declaring herself as a villain who is just a criminal playing dress-up. Who cares about bad CGI? Seeing Halle do innocence and in a second turn into this fierce diva... Good God. She pulled off that double personality pretty well. ^_^

Agreed!! I loved it too, and I'm a huge superhero fan. I really enjoyed the take they did, very refreshing and has an amazing soundtrack!

+Natashaplier FUCKING A MAN.... I also have a headcanon that how Halle became Catwoman is how it's DONE, like its an actual thing, not an isolated incident of fate of one woman. She found that professor and she showed her this whole history of women who might well have been Catwomen, and it's heavily hinted she was one herself, but as an older cat is semi retired kinda, but who still has claws... Dude, this movie rocks, and anyone who says no is just not getting the bigger picture that has nothing to do with Batman.
@Rogu758 жыл бұрын
+Natashaplier This movie was supposed to present us the origin of Selina Kyle. Not about ''Patience Philips''. And this movie is simply bad. We have to admit it. In fact no, it's not bad. It's total garbage. It presents ''Catwoman'' through the mind of a 10 years old. And it was quite some WTF scenes. Like the detective trying to identify the same ''Sorry'' she wrote on a package and on a cup. BY TAKING THEM BOTH TO A HANDWRITING EXPERT. As Nostalgia Critic said: ''Ray Charles with a fucking blindfold could tell it was the same person''. The only good thing in the movie, was obviously this song by Natasaha Schneider. But everything else is a joke.

Damn, why the hate people? Also Catwoman is not a villian... In this movie. Because in this movie, Catwoman didn't kill anyone, but towards the end, George's wife was about to fall off the building because the glass window was broken. Catwoman tried to save her, but failed.
@MadameBitch9 жыл бұрын
Even though she was an extreme bad girl she still had a piece that was good. That's why she wanted to save that women. But the movie if you think about it was kinda pointless. The only part of the movie that relates to the character Cat Women was during when she stopped the jewel thieves.

Lol. Everyone does. I enjoyed it when I was younger but as I said. It just seems like a pointless movie now.
@MikeWilsonBarrett12 жыл бұрын
The problem is that most (If not all) people who slated the movie are fans of Catwoman from the original DC comics and of the Batman films, even Critics had the same opinion. With Halle's Catwoman, they tried to make it a standalone story and I think it was unfairly blasted by DC nuts and critics. The film was very enjoyable and it showed that you can reinvent a historical character. The amount of stick this film gets is unjustified, And who here doesn't like to see Halle in leather? ;)

You know what? I’ve just rewatched that movie, first time since 2004 when I was a kid. It made me remember that I wanted to be catwoman so bad, because being catwoman meant being amazing, beautiful and carefree. Is this movie corny? Oh damn yes it is. Still it is to me the epitome of feminism. And when I rewatched it, it hit me like a brick that the last time I was true to myself (like catwoman) was in fact when I was that kid who watched that movie. And now, 18 years later, this movie transports messages more important than ever: be as sexy as you want, don’t let others judge you, embrace your own duality, and you are complete in any way - even without a man. Maybe it just premiered at the wrong time, we weren’t braced for such feminism back then 😎 (oh, and btw…. The bad criticism I’ve read was mainly written by male audience back then - coincidence?! I think not)

I think the only reason this show didn't get the love it deserves is because society is in no way shape or form interested in women learning to explore their freedom, sexuality or independence.... much alone to watch a BLACK WOMAN do it. Did I mention she was chosen by black GODS AKA THE spinx!!
@sonozaki00003 жыл бұрын
I'm a black woman... It's really fine for people to just think it's not good. There have been MULTIPLE Black Catwoman depictions besides Halle's (the most beloved being Eartha Kitt of course, but there is also her Harley Quinn animated show appearance), and people loved those.
