Thierry Mansour I disagree with you. In 2001 when she represented France, it was the first time a bit of song was sung in French. People were mad at that time but she is Canadian from New Brunswick (English Canadian) that’s why she explained it;)

Thierry Mansour natasha st pier does not looking for an international career. Right now, USA or English language is not mandatory at all...you can sing in Spanish or Chinese and be well known around the world.

yes she is. The country is allowed to send who ever they choose to represent them. As Swiss did in 1988 winning with Celine Dion (canadian as well)

English version is better. For sure. She is canadian from NB bilingual province. She requested to sing half in english in 2001even if she was represented france. Roots are important. Go natasha. Natasha est arrivée à la 4ème place avec ce titre !! En version française (version originale) , cette chanson est juste magnifique ... pourquoi avoir fait le choix de la chanter moitié en français / moitié en anglais !? Quel dommage pour une si belle chanson française !! De plus , sa tenue est laide , sa robe d'un rose vif est trop ample , la parure et les bretelles noires sont grossières !! Natasha est trop maquillée , ses yeux n'ont pas besoin d'être autant noircis et ses lèvres autant colorées !! Natasha est naturellement belle au naturel , elle n'a pas besoin de superflu !! Elle est talentueuse , dotée d'une voix incroyable , belle , simple et accessible envers ses nombreux fans !! ❣ Merci Natasha ❤ Ps : J'écrirais et/ou je composerais pour elle si j'en avais le talent !! wow... I haven't heard this song for like 15 years..!! I was studying french a lot back then, then unfortunately I went so far away from interacting with friends in France and learning french and all... randomly, I recalled old memories and some french songs. Natasha has such a beautiful voice. I never forgot that.

A really beautiful song, performed by a beautiful and talented singer. However, too calm and melancholic for Eurovision. I suppose if France had been able to field the talented and beautiful Alizée with her big hit 'Moi Lolita' at the time, she would have won unquestionably. However, songs that have previously enjoyed such huge commercial success cannot be sung at Eurovision.

She was outstanding in 2001, but she really knocked it out of the park here. It had even better staging and styling. It might not be a popular opinion, but either her or Turkey should have won in 2001. Two amazing ballads that stood out the test of time. Along with Greece, a strong top 3 in a really average and unremarkable year in a whole.
