My girlfriend's mother passed away this past year and I brush / style her hair sometimes now for that bit of comfort she misses. I have these rods. I’ve haven’t used them probably since my 21st birthday and turning 30 this year. I think I haven’t done them because they were so uncomfortable to sleep with, BUT I have a fancy blow dryer now that I can use to dry the hair quickly.👌🏽😼✨

@@yazzy1979 I think I might’ve tried it, but it’s been a long time so I can’t remember. What makes it uncomfortable for me is the weight of my head pressing on something while sleeping. I’m tender headed so anything pressing against my scalp for hours will cause my head to hurt a lot. Like even putting on hair clips, as soon as I get back home I’m slowly removing them right away because my head feels SO sore. I just ordered a scalp massager last night to see if it helps ease tension.😄

I agree. Having locs and doing knots hurts but just wrapping in in old shirt cloth maybe 2 inches from your head might work. Your hair is beautiful as well. You could do a video on your channel 😍

@@yazzy1979 Thank you! I couldn’t even imagine having locs. That would hurt my head so much. Just the weight of them.🙈 I used to have to wear military buns while in the air force and the bun alone felt like a brick on the back of my head.🤣 I got the Dyson hair dryer for Christmas so it’s been amazing and quick to dry my hair. Thought about making videos again it’s just the whole process is A LOT. People don’t understand how long it takes to set up, film, edit, etcetera. You have to be truly passionate about it and since I’m not because it’s not my life’s calling, I stopped.🙊🙈🤣

I love your hair!! I won’t get anywhere near to your results as I have thin hair sadly. My mum has curly hair and my hair started changing from straight to something else, I can’t call it curly it seems to want to do all sorts of things in different places so I have no clue how to look after it. O.m.g. thank you for including what you use to help with frizz! Also, I searched and not many KZbinrs gave the size of their rods, which I found odd since the video was about them...🤔 Question: Did the set you bought come with a bunch of different sizes? If so, did you have enough for your whole head or did you have to use different sizes to complete the look? My hair is thicker and longer, which requires separating more strands, so there needs to be plenty. 😬
