The high flow from Golden is amazing. It goes with everything acrylic. I have also used a little (green) in an acrylic marker I mixed myself. The Pablos are great, but be careful with the Bluish Pale as it is marked only one star in the lightfastness. There are a handful or so of them that is fugetive. That blue is one of them, Salmon pink another.

So great to see a new video from you,and another wondeful art haul,I love how you see lots of mini colour palettes as you unbox with us and talk about the colours,maybe a video swatching every green you own woud be good!,(I'm the same with metallics,I think I'm trying to own as many as I can!). The sennilier abstract acrylic is meant as a refil,nbut also for pour painting,I use these paints a lot myself,they are good value for money and have some unique colours too. an artist I follow here on youtube Lucy Locks uses them in her acrylic poring pieces to amazing affect.I like these as they are more fluid.I'm glad you have discoverd the sjin han watercolour gouache hybrid paints too,these are great for mixed media work and layer really well and are great with colour pencils and the neocolour crayons,and good to see you stil loving the Molotow acrylic pens too,I have loved these for a while now.I think I might have to try thr faber castel matt graphite pencil set,I don't like the shine of graphite either,and again I think these wil be great for mixed media pieces.I think we are naturally drawn to particular colours,because of the images in your stunning work greens seem lke a totally logical obession!!,I'm like that with purples.I discovered the Lyra aquacolour crayons thanks to Melanie Chadwick, you can only really get tghem it sets,but they are a great more affordable alternative to the caran D'Ache neocolor II crayons. But when ine of the colours runs out I replace it witha neocolour II version. A.Gallo have just anounced their shop restock whivh happens tomorrow at 4pm,they have several new colours including a brown/red colour that I think you would love. Good to haer you laughing a little in this video too and that you are starting to feel better and to haer you have been painting again as I knw you really wanted to get back to working on canvas.Can't wait to see the 2nd part to this video to see all these colours. I do think a video alled "Every green I own" would b fun to make and see,as I suspect in all the different meduims you love working with green is the colour you have most of.Happy you are back on youtube.but stil take time out for yurself when you need it and work at a pace that is best for you.Good luck too for your Patreon launch. I love the idea of the matt graphite’s and also the tin of greys. Interested to see how you like the pass colour. I have a set of 14 and need a white to extend their usability. I LOVE them, they are incredibly pigment fish and go a loooooong way! They also layer on top of each other quite well over each other if you like to do bright over dark or dark over thin layers building up with solid to textural or detailed lines. They retain the vivid colour well, even an orange line over teal background for instance. For more subtle or monochrome work they have a great sepia like brown and indigo that wash out deliciously. All the colours work very well with metallics. I would love to hear how you find the differences between Holbein acrylic gouache and Turner, I mainly have the latter. Will they work together ok? Fun and interesting haul.

I saw one of the channels said that the Holbein Gouache was the only one that used pure pigment and binder and not other fillers. I was convinced that if I ever got Gouache that would be the best brand to get. @NatashaNewtonArt3 жыл бұрын
I would guess that you can't actually mix them, but I do use watercolour with acrylic gouache in mixed media pieces; for example a watercolour background with acrylic gouache layered on top. So you could do the same with traditional gouache and then layer the acrylic gouache on top, but not the other way around, and not mixing the paints together. If that makes sense?!

Another lovely video Natasha, thank you my darling. I'm looking forward to all those yummy swatches now! 😊 As your appreciation for green continues, I wanted to step in & offer a little insight into what the green colour ray represents ( As a Holistic Therapist & 'Artsy dabbler' myself I employ Colour therapeutically in my work) if I may. So here goes ... Green is the colour that relates to the heart & to the qualities associated with the heart - honesty, generosity & truth. Those who find themselves drawn to this colour are friendly & have a relaxed nature that puts people at ease. They are tolerant, generous, open hearted & are guided more by the truth of their feelings than by the cool logic of reason. Green represents discrimination & broad vision. 'Green people' are good at seeing all sides of an argument but will not be tempted to compromise at the expense of truth. They are great seekers & sensers, dedicated to authentic living & can be cautious by nature. Integrity is high on their list of values, they posses great generosity & warmth. Green is neither hot or cold, it speaks of neutrality & peace. It offers reassurance & promotes feelings of wellbeing & renewal. It is a soother. Also associated with nature & the outdoors green is Nature's stress reliever & green people often have a great need for green grass & open spaces. Green is also said to be the most restful colour for the eyes & thus provides relaxation for the whole body. In a nutshell, the expansive, warm, restful nature of green makes it a beautiful, heart centered colour. 🙏 .. much love xx xx

It is a long way but if you are in the area it's worth a visit. The chapel is also a fabulous cafe and abergavenny is a lovely town x

I love your art haul videos, but my wallet does not 😄 Can’t wait for the swatching video as I am dying to see how all of the greens look on paper. I am also excited for your Patreon to launch because I am one of the 25% who would love to see a Payne’s Grey comparison. I have another suggestion for your undetermined return to watercolor.: A.Gallo’s Deep Sea Green. It is a very beautiful cousin to Winsor & Newton’s Aqua Green or Schmincke’s Ocean Grey.💕

Thank you so much for the suggestion! It sounds like a gorgeous colour. I've just overhauled my main watercolour palette and added lots of new colours - I'm hoping to film the video soon, where I'll share it and swatch them all! The Payne's Grey video is already filmed and uploaded, ready for the Patreon launch. :)

Do you store your water colors by color by brand or just altogether
@NatashaNewtonArt3 жыл бұрын
All together! I do have quite a few 'themed' metal watercolour palettes, but they all contain several different brands.

Heyyy Natasha! After a looong time! I’m in LOvE with the greens at the beginning! And, I’m confused on whether I need or not to try oil paints. What do you think? Should I try?
@NatashaNewtonArt3 жыл бұрын
I used to paint in oils, but the long drying time and the intense smell put me off! But if you don't mind those, they are a great medium with lots of good points!
@TheBenevolent3 жыл бұрын
@@NatashaNewtonArt that’s exactly my problem too. The fumes are too much to handle. Now I’m trying to get inspired by the style of the pre Raphaelite works where they used watercolor and colored pencils!

I think you like the green color but I’m not sure 🤔 Very nice haul still

I enjoyed your haul video. Thanks! I have a smallish/medium sized tin of CD Pablos and I’m very curious to know what you think of them. They are a hard pencil but lay down smoothly. I was having a discussion about Pablos with another artist who told me they are layering pencils and to go slow and steady (or was it soft and steady, I’ve forgotten). Even though Pablos are a hard pencil according to the packaging they are a wax pencil. I’m one of those people that will not become huffy, puffy or upset if an artist isn’t fond of a product I use or like. I’m fine with constructive criticism! 😆😁 EDIT I have FC Albrecht Durer on my wish list. Now I want to order them ASAP! 😅

TWELVE B?! I can't imagine it's useful for anything besides turning instantly to dust 😆

I swatched it this afternoon and it's amazing! Such a gorgeous non-reflective/non-shiny dark colour. No turning to dust! ;)

I actually was surprised to see that neocolor 1 and 2 in light olive are in different colours! I have nr.2 but thought they will be the same! Now super curious to see nr.1! Also I bought ash grey from Pablo just like a week ago! Super exited to see how it looks when it arrives! Exited to see your new Molotow marker addition! :)
@NatashaNewtonArt3 жыл бұрын
Hi again Kristiana! I'm so behind on the comments and I'm catching up this evening. :) I was wondering - do you ever use Molotow markers to create pieces on their own, without adding other media? I recently discovered an artist who uses only Molotows and Poscas and creates amazing work. Her name is Angela Pan Art on KZbin. It's really inspired me to try this myself and to try blending them too!
@kriksis3 жыл бұрын
@@NatashaNewtonArt Hello Natasha! Yes, sometimes I do! For inktober I combined markers and pencil marks on top, but I have a few pieces done only with markers. :) I will check out Angela Pan Art, haven't heard of her! You should try! I have tried blending markers sometime before too! (before they are completely dried up on page)

I've got to start rationing watching your hauls. I enjoy them way too much and occasionally overdose.

Ha ha, I'm so glad that you enjoy them!

you have to pay for sludge...should they not give you that...you would thing at a reduce price ...but no...you pay full price...could never understand that

It's still a useful product, and it wasn't that expensive. The thicker one in the dark teal colour is really beautiful too!
