Dear Nate, I had the pleasure of seeing you and 'your band' last month in Berlin. As a novice bass player, I always had my eyes on you during the whole concert and on Gavin as well. I like King Crimson as well. Just from watching you my bass playing got better, no kidding. I'm really thankful to you and 'your guys' for this great evening and the '1000 tips' for better bass playing. I'm currently trying to learn Chimera's Wreck, damn that's a beast for me but just super cool to play. A song at the concert where I was just watched at your hands the whole time and learned so much. Notes on paper are fine, but to see it played by someone who really 'nailed' it with all the energy and total 'confidence', that was an experience for me. Thank you! My wife and I saw the Porcupine Tree show in Denver, CO, and damn! Spectacular! I've seen hundreds of concerts, maybe thousands, over many decades and that one is way up there among the best. They really made the right call on that bassist they hired. :) Thanks for taking time to explain your rig.

Hi Nate, I was at the Porcupine Tree concert last sunday (Guitare en Scène Festival in Saint-Julien/France) and Steven told us you were absent because of some family issue. Without giving the reason which I know is private, I'd just like to know if your issue is solved and everything is OK again. I can't hide I was a little disapointed to see PT without a bass player as this instrument and the low end range are so important in their music. Us NN and PT fans who also have QCs would really like to see these presets in the Cortex mobile app. I’m particularly interested because I run a similar d-class head through cabs setup with my QC and I’m always trying to find a happy medium between what is going direct to FOH and what is running though physical cabs on stage. With 4 lanes there is no room to have cab blocks only for the FOH, and I notice you have cab blocks on some of your lanes. I’m trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can! Thanks for posting.

Hi Nate! Quick question do you use the active pad button for your active basses on your Genzler head? I rock the same head and use it but I notice that it quiets the volume to the point I’m turning up the master more.

I dunno if it's just because of the venue, but I couldn't hear you much at all at Wembley Arena 😔 I was sitting in the back part of the floor, not far from the mixing board

Saw them at the ziggodome in Netherlands and sound was off too. Band played amazing but there wasn't enogh volume pressure, not enough bass or sub, everything lacked definition, only vocals and guitar solos were on point, drums wouldn't cut enough (which was weird because you could see Gavin destroying the drumkit and being as badass as he is), keys lacked the depth they have on the records... I don't know, I felt a little disappointed. Although the lights and visuals were amazing, and everyone played amazingly, every note from every song was there.
