I am currently single. But recently about a few months ago me and this boy that goes to my church, he happens to be the pastors son, I noticed that I was starting to see him in a different way. And at the moment I thought I was crazy but I felt like God was telling me that that’s who I’m going to marry or that that’s who he wants me to marry. And I thought that for a few months and I prayed and prayed about it and ask God to take those thoughts away if it wasn’t for his glory or it wasn’t what he wanted for me. And one day I went to go visit my mom because I currently live with my dad and she said she wanted to talk to me about something. Mind you, I’ve never ever ever mentioned this boy to my mom. And for a long time I was praying to God to show me and sign if he really is the one for me. And my mom wanted to have a talk with me and she said the following “I don’t know if I’m crazy or if this is all in my head but I feel like God really, really wants me to tell you this. I think that you and the pastors son are meant to be more then just friends. I think that you guys will do extraordinarily things for the lord and he wants you to know that.” At the moment I was so shook and I started to cry. I was so overwhelmed with emotions because the thought I have been having taht I thought were from God but I wasn’t sure so I just kept denying it, it ended up being true. And once I got back home he said that he urgently needed to talk to me about something. And he said the following “I know this is going to sound crazy, and I know that this is completely out of the blue. But I truly feel that this is what God is telling me. I think that God wants us to be more then friends. Maybe husband and wife one day.” And at that moment I started to cry and cry. He said that he have been praying about it for about 5 months and the answer has never seemed so clear. And I have been praying about it for about the same amount of time. We talk about things and for now we are just friends. We are both very very young, he is 17 and I am 16. And for now we want to focus on God and have God be the main focus of our life. Because we don’t want to have to be in a committed relationship at such a young age. We want our relationship with the lord to be as solid as can be before we decide to go further into our relationship. This dating video really helped me see some views on what I should work on and what I should consider once me and this guy start dating. While many struggle with addiction, lies, hatred, disobeying parents etc. Others struggle sexually. Dating an object is not Gods way or nature. In the recent years people have tried changing, twisting, misinterpreting and reinterpreting Gods word. But that will ultimately never change his judgment or ways. Our hearts are at many times deceitful and that is why we must trust God and not lean with our own understanding. I am also not here to judge you but to remind you that He will sooner or later judge you based off of your actions and believes. God wants you to follow him and his ways. Having lustful fantasies with an object is not what He has planned for you

1) date prayerfully 2) date with intentions; tell them your intentions. Be clear. Speak with clarity. 3) date with autonomy; date with morality. 4) date with purity; assess why you want to be with that person. It is not the sex that will make you see if you two are right for one another. 5) date graciously. Be kind to yourself and the other person. 6) community; don’t isolate yourselves but get together with a prayer/ any group whom will help to let you know if both are good for one another. 7) date patiently; be wise and pray as you are dating somebody. God creates your story and He loves you. Don’t compromise until you know the truth and they match up with what God intends you to be.

Thank you Nate and Sutton, I am 23, italian, and vergin. In Italy, girls have sex and boyfriends at 16-18. During teenage years, I felt so wrong and weird, I wasn't able to find a guy that I liked who liked me back. And all those rejections were God's protection! I’m 18, and I’m not a virgin. I thought that I owed my boyfriend (now my ex) sex, and I was too scared to have that conversation with him. I want the next time I have sex to be on my wedding night, and if a man doesn’t understand that, then he’s not the right man. If any young woman or man out there is reading this and feels like their SO is pressuring them to have sex (or even be intimate in any way), please know that you deserve better than that. That is great you know this at 18! At that age I learned to not rush into a relationship (even a Godly one). It is important to first seek God about a person who is interested in you. And meanwhile you can seek God on his plan for your future. He will make it known to you. God's plans are best and his timing is perfect. Thank you for the advice!! ❤️ I recently began dating someone. And we both know our intentions. We have clarified where we want to take our relationship to. I also made it clear that I am saving myself for marriage and he respects that. I think what we may be struggling with is patience. Our relationship has developed fast in just a couple weeks. We already know that a forever is possible for with us as long as we put God always first. But, we are both still young, and I think although we seem to be focusing on our goal we may need to focus more on the process of getting there. I read in a book (Defining Decade by Meg Jay--10/10 recommend!!) that couples think that living together is a good way to test whether they'd work out as a married couple (seems logical). However, studies have shown that it is actually not a good way to test this because of what psychologist call the sliding effect. Most couples live together because they had already been sleeping over at each other's places so it would be more convenient to just live together. They just casually decide to live together; there's no serious commitment involved. People always rationalize that if they wanted to get out of the current situation, it would be easy because they're not married to the other person. (This is also flawed thinking. Obviously, moving out is much easier than getting divorced, but moving out is still much more difficult than just breaking up with someone.) Because couples *slide* into a situation that requires commitment without the actual commitment, they are more likely to drag their feet in getting married or they might *slide* into getting married without thinking of how much of a commitment it is. Don't quote me on this because I don't have the book in front of me. You can google "the sliding effect" for more informed information, though.

I am now dating a friend who said that he loved me since yr 2 and when I left the school in yr4 he thought he'd never see me again because I moved so far away. When I came back last year he was so happy and confessed that he liked me. I'd never dated anyone (or even had a crush) before him so I was waiting to see if I liked him, we started dating this year. He is a Christian and so nice and amazing to me, he asks if I'm comfortable with holding hands or hugging and never steps over the line. I'm glad that he persisted with dating me because he loves me so much and now I love him. 😊❤

I love this video, I’m 15 and a Christian and I’ve been looking for a relationship but it’s hard when so many people just want sex and think that when you date that’s what your supposed to do. Im going to be fifteen in 5 days!! And your so right!! Im totally not looking for a relationship but I want to be ready if/when God says it's time. I always want to have God at the center of any relationship. Right now God is just silent in that area and I know God has it all in his hands!! Trust in God and know he has everything in control!!
