As someone who has been into the British monarchy for over 40 years, it was so so so hard for me to listen to you guys discuss all this! Usually I don’t have any problem listening because I know about as little as you guys do about the subject of the day, but in this case, knowing as much as I do about the topic, the conversation drove me crazy! Geez, at the very least, you all could’ve watched The Crown on Netflix! BTW Brian, Elizabeth did not become queen in 1956, she became queen when her father died in 1952 and was crowned at her coronation the following year in 1953. It also drove me insane that Aaron said M.A.S.H. took place in Vietnam!!! Aaron, M.A.S.H. took place in the early 1950s in KOREA, not in Vietnam (though to be fair that war started almost immediately after Korea). The more you know. 🙂But this is still the podcast I love best of all the podcasts to which I listen. Well done, you! (That’s British for “Great job!”) 😉

Strange to be watching this just a few weeks after the death of the queen. By the way, the version of that story from the queen’s driver that I heard, she took pictures with the tourist and never revealed that she was queen. Such an awesome move, she did have a good sense of humor. :)

True story: I was walking into a Home Depot for what I thought was a quick trip. Without warning, my body was like, “Hey, if you don’t make it to the restroom within in the next few seconds there’s going to be a problem.” I did that fast walk we are all familiar with. I few people saw me and got out of my way. I was listening to the podcast with my AirPods in. While sitting in the stall I kept laughing. I did the slight nose laugh, the small giggle, to a full on outburst. I forgot I was in a public restroom. An old man was standing by the sink and he looked at me strangely. He said, “I don’t know if I’ve ever taken a poop (he used a different word) as amusing as yours must have been.”

Just caught Nate on YourMomsHouse with the Segura fam! Quite the different podcast dynamic, like a home schooled kid meeting public school friends for the first time ("I think yall have a different internet than I do", hahahahaa). Then still cool to see that even with different styles of comedy, Nate and Tom are then almost identical in energy...like Christina said, it was like watching one of them just talk into a mirror. Love Nateland, keep the episodes coming! Would love to see Tom on an episode with you guys! So long folks!

Hello Folks! Nate, Bubba Burger & Aaron - you are real-life heroes, saving dozens of 3-generation dysfunctional families with opposing political views stuck in minivans traveling to Mt. Rushmore for summer vacation, all across the world! 21 Nateland episodes from Chicago & back, and we couldn’t have survived without you - even laughed once or twice. Much Love & Many Thanks to Y’all, A, W, C & K PS - your US Presidents episode aired perfectly in time for our Mt. Rushmore trip, to which my mom, a kindergarten teacher, had the quintessential teacher-mom response: “We didn’t learn very much about presidents.” (I disagree.) After 21 episodes, she gets it and is a true Folk now. ❤️

Nate thinks that the Harry and Megan will make them more approachable...but remember this; One person from each generation in that family has done this. It started with the king abdicating, then Charles divorcing Diane, then Harry pretty much abdicating as well. So every generation has had at least one person go against the throne.

I love that Nate can't figure out what the word "average" means when discussing average viewership of the World Cup after he just released a special titled "The Greatest AVERAGE American." Nate... it means they added up the views of all of the World Cup games that were televised and then divided it by the number of games to get the average. It's not all added up to one large number. In fact the peak viewership for the highest viewed game would be greater than the average. I don't know if Bilbo and Weber Dame were just playing along or didn't get it either. This podcast is a mixture of frustration & laughter, but mostly laughter.
