Back then we didn't even know that Mike Schimidt was Michael Afton (William's son), and that he was trying to mend the wrongs of the past. I keep thinking about The Living Tombstone’s first Fnaf song and how it says that the security guard was there once before which is a small thing but it’s a big small thing y’know?! And maybe they got it from context clues, like they also bring up a question in the song asking why the security guard keeps coming back which makes total sense really. Why keep coming back to a place that’s literally trying to kill you unless you have stakes in said place much more than death.
