Egypt has fascinated me since I was a little girl. From the time I could read my nose was in books about Egypt and it’s history, culture and of course people. I do believe that with the modern technology being a driving force in archeology today, that whatever pieces we are missing will eventually be filled in and answers will be given. There are so many myths, legends, movies, books written about Cleopatra and her family one has to do their own homework and sift through fact and fiction. In all honesty I still believe that Rome holds the key to the mystery and life/death of Egypts Queen. Julius Cesar loved her, her cunning and shrewd dealings with her enemies kept her beloved Egypt safe for a time until Rome became greedy and in need of Egypts riches. I think the real answers about Cleopatra will be found, but in the least likely location and it will show a completely different light yet again in Egypts amazing mysteries.

She won't. She's looking in a place cleopatra can't be as it was the second worst religious sacrilege you could commit to bury someone in a temple. It wasn't done by anyone in egypt under any circumstances. If she actually knew anything at all about egyptian religion or culture she would be aware of this. Not to mention the ancient sources are quite clear that she was buried in alexandria with antony. Likely in an area now underwater, which means shes never going to be found

Good photography. Over the years, we have watched many explorations like these. Cleapatra a pharo? Thought she was the mistress of 2 Roman generals-- Richard Burton and S.Boyd. Maybe, if NG digs deep enough, they will find the tomb of Elizabeth Taylor. Love the designer/safari outfits. Actually, there are ancient tombs all over Masre. Why don't the E. explore their own graves? Why are foreigners always finding sites, like Howard Carter in 1910?

There are signs and evidence suggesting that this may be the coveted tomb of Egypt's most famous Pharoah, Cleopatra. I cannot think of a more exciting discovery than uncovering the grave of history's most famous woman, Cleopatra. However, ending the season's dig without uncovering strong evidence that this long lost ruler may be uncovered during the next digging season is damned frustrating. Nevertheless, what would normally bore me to death, in this context, is as exciting as an Oscar winning thriller.

I got that same felling when the shot panned between the walls to the sea. She is underneath and protected as much as possible to try and avoid having her body desecrated after her death. The mummy found was probably a high ranked guard, priestess, or other special designation.

I recently read an excellent book on Cleopatra by Margaret George, a highly detailed and meticulously researched "memoir" of her life. She was probably Interred in a mausoleum in Alexandria, her capitol city. Of course she was the last Ptolemy, descended from a Greek general who fought with Alexander the Great.

Yes, Cleopatra was Greek ethnically, not Egyptian. Look it up. Cleopatra is a Greek name.
