It wasn't that Lot's wife looked back out of curiosity. They were told to flee with just the clothes on their back, leaving everything they owned behind. According to the bible Lot was fairly well off so when they fled they left many luxury items behind. Thats why Lot's wife looked back. Not out of curiosity but rather out of longing for her possessions she was leaving behind. Jesus alluded to her in Luke 17:26-32 when he counseled the first century Christians to flee when the time came and to not return for their possessions. He reminded them to "Remember the wife of Lot" in verse 32.

The fact that we get free documentaries from National Geographics on KZbin is priceless, keeping the education and knowledge alive 🙏🙏🙏 May I also remind you the fact that our Native American population in our motherland, the Continent of America before the European Colonizers arrived, was around 15 millions, while the European population in their motherland, the Continent of Europe was around 25 millions. Today, Native American population is 15 million, while the European population, in the Continents of America + Europe, is a staggering TWO BILLION! A shocking sad truth. 😔 In my humble opinion, it's about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people. Notorious global cardinal crimes the Christian West has committed, and benefited a great deals, such as Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is notorious Colonization still lingering on, may I ask? 😔🤷

I greatly appeciate how this was done with a respect for the Holy Bible and those of us who believe what it tells us. I love archaeology, especially Biblical, but because many shows seek only to prove the Bible is just stories or myths, I don't usually watch them. I believe the Bible to be truly God's communication with the humanity He created even if and when science can corroborate real life possibilities. Thanks so much!
@hughmungus929
@hughmungus929 19 күн бұрын
My favorite is when those shows seek out evidence to disprove the bible and end up finding things that support it 😂. Some are decent enough to admit it, while others have tried to spin it in a way that misconstrues their findings. For example, one of the biggest arguments against the bible is that humans haven't been around long enough according to "modern science " and therefore the whole thing is just a story book. But recently discovered evidence shows that humans have been around at least several thousand years longer than the scientific community wanted to admit. So they're spinning this finding to say that the Earth must be even older than we thought, and therefore the bible must be absolutely wrong smh

It's a brutal landscape that can make the people brutal. In this landscape, the Israelites were given laws promoting humane treatment of animals and kindness toward other humans. Many of the laws in the Bible seem harsh to us now, but, at the time, they were *revolutionary* in recognizing the dignity of even slaves.
