thank you for this exhaustive work and for recording for posterity. Dance history needs this!! In the Dallas production as set by Dolin, I danced the part of Lucille Grahn, and Eileen McKee danced Taglioni. / thank you - Deborah Weaver

As you probably know, Nina Stroganova was a Danish ballerina and was cast as Lucille Grahn by Anton Dolin for his original production of Pas de Quatre for Ballet Theater. Markova was also in the original cast, but the Yugoslov Mia Slavenska entered the cast later, as did Danilova and Krassovska, after Stroganova left Ballet Theater for the Original Ballets Russes. And New York City Ballet danseur, teacher, Richard Marsden is heir to Dolin's ballets. In other words, this photo is from a later season and is not the original cast, the photo of which can be found in one or more books on ABT or ballet.

In Nina Stroganova's class, the sequence of the barre was always the same, and is detailed on her Facebook page. Each day, the construct of each exercise would change, but not the sequence. But Dokoudovsky's barre was always the same every day. They both taught in the same manner as Preobrajenska. Very little talk, and much dancing.
