I just loooove this. I heard Nathalie 'live ' at that time and been an ardent supporter ever since - such maturity in one so young ..fabulous !!! Consummate artistry...mmmm.. I could - and do - listen for hoooours ...sincerely - Simannabim XX...and still as inspirational and exquisite in 2011...unbelievable ..sheeer genius ...

Oui, la voix de Nathalie est extraordinaire, fabuleuse, magique.....mais il faut aussi se souvenir du travail immense qu'elle consent, sur sa voix, certes, mais aussi sur les partition qu'elle vit totalement, nous empoignant, nous bouleversant si fortement. thank you annasims98 for your post. I agree with you completely. I first heard her in 2006 and have been following her career ever since and have many of her CD's. She is unique in so many ways. Rarely have I heard her off (the Schwangesang CD wasn't superb, but a rare misstep). She is such an excellent musician and a lovely person. We are blessed to have her amongst us.

Mozart? Among the works attributed to Mozart from his time in Italy was an oratorio, 'La Betulia Liberata' (libretto by Metastasius), mentioned in a letter from Leopold Mozart of March 1771, "He was also commissioned to compose an oratorio for Padua. ..". Mozart did not send 'La Betulia liberata' to Padua! In fact, the Mozarts never returned to Padua after Milan in December. And, although 'La Betulia liberata' was performed in Lent 1772, in the Padua libretto ( which still exists) identifies the composer of the music, NOT as Mozart, but as composer Giuseppe Callegari. Epilogue - 'La Betulia Liberata' was not performed during Mozart's lifetime. Similarly Misilveček's oratorio 'Abramo ed Isacco' (Isacco figura del redentore; Florence, 1776) for a long time it was wrongly attributed to Mozart by experts.

Bella voce di contralto, ma in questa parte di Giuditta, a mio parere, Gloria Banditelli è molto meglio. Ha una voce più soave e più grande espressione.
