Yes I was worried and wondering what happened to you, I took a break off of IG or shall I say my health forced me to take a break I spent several month's in the hospital. Love your balcony! 😊 Also about the hose, you can get a hose form Home Depot or Lowe’s and connect it to your sink and use that to clean your balcony inside of the buckets of water. My boyfriend does that when he’s filling his huge fish tank so he doesn’t have to keep taking buckets of water :) hope this helps!

Hey, I get so excited seeing people balcony cleaning and taking it in their own hands freshening up for the spring and summer. Great job and I love that you first de-cluttered and removed things from your balcony first. I will give you a few tips for next year, or for your viewers, to simplify life in the future. Actually, you are quite lucky that you have a drain in your balcony floor as here in Vancouver, Canada we have exposed edges that would allow all the water to flow to our neighbours or the street below. Shortly, I will write a blog on our professional balcony cleaning website (zuke balcony cleaning) with detailed tips. Already we have some pressure washing videos from A-Z on youtube. Everyone's balcony is a little different so adapt to your own conditions. For the time being, here you go: 1) de-clutter and physically clean any items/furniture that you plan on re-placing on the balcony "prior" to moving them indoors into your suite (this way you don't re-introduce the debris onto your clean balcony. Also, clean the railing by hand prior to starting the rest of the balcony to avoid dropping debris on the soon-to-be clean floor. This is also the time to clean the BBQ but be careful not to drop bits onto the floor as the grease is difficult to remove. Use a mild citrus cleaner. If you want to do a thorough cleaning of the BBQ take it outside or in the parkade to clean; 2) sweep as you did, or invest in a small portable wet/dry vacuum; 3) do not use such strong chemicals as you did...My thoughts are that you already damaged the paint on the window sill with the abrasive creams or Clorox products...not to mention they are stronger than needed and not so environmentally friendly going into our drains; 4) prepare a bucket of hot water, and add only a few drops (literally 3-4 drops) of Dawn dish soap. Dawn dish soap is also our trade secret (no longer a secret, haha) for squeegee window cleaning. It is not the chemicals that will do the cleaning for you it's the dwell time and flushing of water; 5) Invest in a simple and economical kitchen/bathroom sink adapter to a 3/4" garden hose. There is also the option to connect to the laundry machine fitting...though I REALLY don't suggest this as you could end up with an ongoing leak by breaking the rubber gasket seal. Purchase a lightweight flexible, or retractable/expandable garden hose and garden hose nozzle. The total cost should be about $20; 6) use a car cleaning brush (AKA window cleaning brush) with soft bristles (often blue or green in color) and attach that to any broomstick; 7) starting from high and moving to low, rinse down the walls and windows. Then dip the brush into the soapy water and apply it to the windows first. Clean windows first to avoid collecting any debris in the bristles that could potentially scratch your windows. Also, be sure to rinse out the brush frequently to avoid scratching. Clean the window tracks and walls, and any storage boxes, furniture, etc. 8) Leave the floor for last. Clean the entire surface in one go before rinsing. Start spraying with the garden hose starting furthest from the drain. Rinse clean a small patch...remove your dirty sandals and start spraying and direct the flow to the drain. 9) replace all the furniture and elements, sit back and reward yourself with your favorite beverage...Happy Cleaning

I never thought to throw water from the bucket on the windows lol I have to try it next time. I don’t have a ledge all the way across though. It’s ceiling to floor for most of it. I also use a squeegee.
