I love Dante but I really don't like this storyline. Dante was out of character during this storyline. He would never have cheated on Lulu if he was written true to character.

I disagree. Soap characters can always cheat, even the good ones, in the “right” circumstances. In this case, he was under a misconception about why Lulu blatantly lied to him and left the country with her ex.
