I don't understand why so many people say mean things.... If you're team Yuzuru, great, is another skater and has a different flow. You shouldn't comment rude thing and bring him down. Respect the skater. Imo, he's great. His skating style is more dynamic.

When i first watched FS, i was overwhelmed by Yuzu style, like he's so airy with his jumps, techniques and his representation on ice is undoubtly outstanding. I also watched other great skaters like Nathan and i was like i don't like his style, so complex and it made him so robotic. But then in 2019 suddenly i found he's much improved and skated incredibly good, and i feel like he's indeed the only one that can compete with Yuzu or beat him at his prime. I respect Nathan with his hard work, but i don't think he's more "dynamic" than Yuzu like you've stated. If you watch him, you can see him floating/dancing on any kind of music, any kind of choreography and still mesmerizing the viewers, that's why people love him. Besides jumps, he's the one who put heavily efforts on artistry of his programs, so that his fans can enjoy more when they see him skate. If you think "dynamic" is how diverse the jumps on their programs, then you're right, Yuzu can't jump 4F because he's not good/stable at it, and 4Lutz he's not as good as Nathan but his technique is way more beautiful than Nathan. If you think diversity is better than quality then you're right ;) But if you think "dynamic" is the complexity of elements/sequences, then you're also right. Yuzu has asthma, he can't perform as complex as Nathan, but his representation, interpretation is better than Nathan. He can skate in a feminine way, masculine way, and whatsoever style you want him to skate, when Nathan's only skate in masculine way cause it fits him the most. I think the reason why Yuzu fans say rude things against Nathan is that Yuzu usually get underscored by judges while Nathan is not at all, sometimes Nathan get overscored as well, so that when he beat Yuzu, they always get mad and try to bring him down. But i respect him and enjoy his skating, i think he's a hard working skater who improves himself everyday and good enough to be Yuzu's best rival.

@@lannguyende I disagree that Nathan can only do masculine style of skating. He is very versatile in different choreography styles and did mostly soft, ballet programs in his junior years and first senior year. He is definitely not going to skate like Hanyu as that feminine style can only be seen in ladies skaters and lengendary skater like Johnny Weir which Hanyu copied from. Nathan's skating is dynamic, energetic and his jumps are majestic with fast rotations as he is much younger and there is a youthful joy when he skates. Hanyu is older, slower and doesn't create same kind of excitement. Somehow he has a very tense expression which is shown in his skating maybe because he is worried about landing his jumps. I find his skating a bit stressful to watch and quite boring after a while. The reason why Hanyu cannot score high is because he cannot do technically difficult content like Nathan. Even younger skaters like Yuma, Shoma and Vincent can do more technically difficult programs than Hanyu. Nathan is the best skater and definitely deserves his score.

@@sporeKAfan You have a point, Nathan sure improved so much, i agree he's currently the no.1 skater. His jumps has height, delay, powerful... (except his 3A, to be fair it looks like 2A) but he doesn't have any satisfying entrance/exit, his artistry is only in his sequences, he really depends on his jumps a lot in competition, i guess he wanna make sure that he'd get gold, only in gala i can feel his energy as well as artistry. In Yuzu's case, he does a lot of thing tbh, if you look carefully, he's slender, that's why his jumps is airy and eye-catching, he has a lot of transitions, fast footwork, hands + legs synchronization. He can jumps many quad types except 4F, to be fair he has top techniques in his jumps, so don't say like Shoma and Kagiyama are technically better than him. If you said Nathan, it can be debatable, cause jumps has many criteria, don't just depends on the landing and scores. The one who knows best is the non-FS viewers, just shows them many skaters jumps and let them choose who is better. The only thing Yuzu isn't good as Nathan (or other top skaters if you want to include any) is he usually inconsistent with his axis, that's why he suffer many bad landings. You referred that he is older than others. Although he's old, he could challenge himself with new jumps like 4A, 4F, 4Lz, new programs (Japan style like Seimei and Heaven and Earth instead of classical music). That's what makes Yuzu different. His artistry is undeniably top tier, if you disagree then i don't know what to say, maybe because you favor in different style, genre... and Nathan's is the best for you, i don't know. Back in the days Yuzu suffer from a lot of hate when he was young, they thought he's not good enough to stand next to world's top. However, when he perform Seimei, he introduced Japan culture to the world, when he showed nothing can prevent him to skate despite injuries, everyone changed their minds and supports Yuzu from then. My point is that, it's not your technical scores, your medals, your jumps define you. It's the inspiration, the endeavor, the contribution for young skaters and for fans. To be honest, many people enjoy watching FS because Yuzu, many skaters who are ambitious, are also inspired by him. He has a lot of respect from coaches too. That makes him different. And Nathan, he's the no.1 champion, he brought new vibes to FS world, but if he want everyone to remember him alongside with Yuzu, he needs to do something else, even if he has more medals or WR than Yuzu, day by day people are still remember Yuzu and only him as the greatest. All of these are facts and no bias at all, you can support Nathan, that's nice, i respect that. But don't bring Yuzu down (any skaters in general), just to praise Nathan, his legacy is invaluable to the world. Sincere.

@@lannguyende Nathan's artistry has always been there since his junior years. His choreography is good considering the insane amount of technical content he is doing. He has been praised by skating legends, coaches and younger skaters look up to him as a role model. He is already an inspiration to many people with his achievements despite being 5 years younger. He is the only skater to receive standing ovation from them in 2021 Worlds Championship and 2022 Olympics because he is the most well-rounded skater blending both technical perfection and artistry. I don't find Hanyu original in his artistry as he copied his feminine skating style and costume from Johnny Weir when he was criticised for no artistry during Patrick Chan's time. Somehow he has a very tense expression when skating and it is quite stressful to watch maybe because he is worried about landing his jumps. His galas are definitely more enjoyable. There are much better artists like Jason Brown, Mikhail Kolyada and Kevin Aymoz whose step sequences and transitions are better. The greatest artistic skaters of all time are Johnny Weir, Stephane Lambiel, Javier Fernandez and Daisuke Takahashi who have more flair and emotion in their skating. I find Hanyu's Japanese programs to be quite empty and very weird but maybe his largely Asian fanbase like it (I only like his Chopin and rock music programs). There are also other skaters who introduce their culture through their programs and not just Hanyu. Nathan has pushed the artistic boundary by introducing hip hop music and moves in his programs which is a first. Quite weird that you say Nathan's programs are not fun and energetic when his Rocketman, Caravan, Nemesis and Desperado programs are upbeat music full of youthful energy, swag and masculinity which he is known for. Hanyu's technique and execution in jumping is not that great and inconsistent as he often makes mistakes, pops jumps, falls or has rough landings. The only thing I agree is he has more difficult entry and exit and he does have the highest score for quad toe, loop and triple axel when he can land the jump though Nathan holds the highest scores for the more difficult quad lutz, flip, salcrow because he focuses on jumps of higher base value. Nathan's triple axel has improved a lot already, so I am not sure why you think it looks like double axel. Body type and the "look" of the jump shouldn't determine whether the jump is good or not. It should be the proper execution, height, distance, speed and landing to be objective. This is why there are 9 judges to score and not non-FS viewers. I find Nathan, llia Malinin and Mikhail Kolyada to have beautiful jumps as well, if not better than Hanyu. Nathan has pushed the technical front by revolutionizing male figure skating in 2017 with his 5-6 quad revolution, forcing other skaters to up their quads. This is a very important milestone in FS. Before Nathan's era, skaters are only contented to do 1-3 quads and do not challenge themselves, so people don't see FS as sports but Nathan has contributed the atheticism needed for the sports. Not only that, he always does the most technically difficult content to challenge himself. Hanyu has actually improved in his technical content over the years because of Nathan but Yuma, Shoma and Vincent have more difficult content and stamina than him. Also, your views are not facts but just your views. Facts must be supported with data or evidence of actual results like world record scores and medals which are ratified by international panel of judges.

No he did win the Junior Grand Prix Final in 2015. He just never won World Juniors (I think he won Bronze in 2014 but that was it). Key thing to get the Career Super (Grand) Slam is winning Junior Grand Prix Final, Junior Worlds, Continentals (Either Europeans or 4 Continents) Grand Prix Final, Worlds and Olympics.

That is because he was injured during his junior years and could not participate in Worlds Junior Championship. Anyway, he has already received more championship titles than Hanyu despite being 5 years younger, so that is an amazing accomplishment for such a young man.
