I'm 35 and grew up in the carnival business. 4th generation. this song always warms my heart. so many have no idea what we go through to bring those lights and entertainment to you and your family.. it's a few days in your town for you.. it's our entire lives.

Whoo, Nathan Lane is a treasure. One of the best thing about this movie. Branagh should take it more often in it's movies. Love him so much. Nathan Lane is so underrated in Hollywood, shame. Brillant actors : Birdcage, Mousehunt, The Front Page, The Iceman Cometh, The Nance, The Producers, Angels In America, Penny Dreadful City Of Angels, Good Wife.

No matter what role he plays, he always looks like he's honestly enjoying it to the fullest. I totally and completely love that man. He's excellent at what he does.

Nathan Lane once worked with George C. Scott on a play years ago. And, as Nathan told it, Scott was observant of Lane’s manner while working and told him (verbatim, in so many words): “You look like you really love it.”

One of my favorite films. I just watched the DVD again, a couple of days ago. Kenneth Branagh does "Loves Labors Lost" as a late 1930's musical. Stellar cast and fun fun fun take on Shakespeare.

Wow... the beginning shows a side of Nathan's singing that I hadn't heard before... his tone is so beautiful... and on top of that, he's hilarious, and can tap dance! He's a theatre geek's god. :P

I’ve watched as many interviews as I can with Mr. Lane. The one with Jiminy Glick never fails to make me laugh, but I watched one recently where he explained that he’s loved theatre ever since he was a child, so this video is particularly enjoyable to me. Mr. Lane is a brilliant artist and a singular pleasure to watch. He makes me happy and knowing that he’s doing what he loves means that something has gone right in this crazy world. I hope Mr. Lane somehow understands how much joy his presence brings to the world.

1950. I was a homesick little kid living in Africa. My mother saw there was a road company of Annie Get Your Gun and she took me. I was so proud to be an American. This was my country and my talented countrymen. I vowed that day to grow up and be an actress. Well, I sort of made it. I spent my career teaching and directing high school musicals! That counts, right?

Wow, Nathan really sings wonderfully here. He's a wonderful singer otherwise, but a lot of his singing roles are for characters who seem somewhat crass (i.e., Max Bialystock). This particular performance shows a very classy side to his voice.
