The spoken word piece at the beginning was an amazing touch - a breath of fresh air of sorts. Of course, David Allen did a splendid job with the visual depiction. The strings in the production give off an orchestral feel and they establish the fact that the message of the song is a sober and solemn one. As for the lyrics, they’re structured well. Can’t complain there. Denice’s BGVs were solid. Clearly she knew what she was doing here. This is definitely one of my favourite social commentaries to date. It’s an exceptional project.
