I am a little bit confused on the moment when he was implementing ensure template. How did compiler allow to write smth like std::forward(args)... without specifying type explicitly e.g. std::forward(args).... ? (Keep going with the series, a lot of useful stuff can be learned here)

Date time is a curse no matter the language used.

"Month day year" only makes sense when you are speaking. For any sort of written date "year month day" is clearly far more sensible.

That would be ISO 8601 and I agree. It is consistent and unambiguous.
