glad you found it and glad I saw -- this should help if I need to do selections which I used to do a lot of. Wish the program also had "snap to edges".

I just saw a video where they did a portrait of a woman with 4 photos stacked with different lighting angles. It was AWESOME. I think this process would do the same in Photoscape X. I'm gonna try it out tomorrow.

You can also change and transform the cutout AFTER ITS PLACED IN THE NEW IMAGE by softening the edges of the cutout and making them transparent.. so much easier than all that work you just did. :)
@BriNathanCollins Жыл бұрын
Thanks I’ll definitely try that.

You da greatest!!!!!!😃 I was wondering if there is anyway to stitch or merge two parts of a photo together, deleting unused space or would you use layers for that also.
@BriNathanCollins Жыл бұрын
Yes, if you insert the image twice, you could use the mask tool and remove parts of the image and push them together.

Not finding a KZbin vid for PS X Pro on feathering. When working on photo restorations, I typically will toggle between PS v. 24 and PSX Pro. But only PS has a feathering option, which doesn't always do a great job. I'm looking for alternatives. And by alternatives, I don't mean apply the blur tool to the photo edge. Peace.
@BriNathanCollins2 жыл бұрын
Have you tried Affinity Photo?
@colvingenealogy2 жыл бұрын
@@BriNathanCollins No I was hoping you had a PS XPro solution for the feathering issue. PS does some images well and others not so well. I would prefer not to have more than 2 apps open for the same project.
@BriNathanCollins2 жыл бұрын
what tool do you currently use in Photoshop for feathering?
@colvingenealogy2 жыл бұрын
@@BriNathanCollins It's not "a" tool, it's a sequence of steps. once you've chose the image and used the marquee tool it's > Select menu > modify >feather > select radius> and there are a few more steps after that. Some images do well, but others not so well. I was looking for an alternate. The only real advantage is you have a lot of control, but that's pointless if the end result is no good. Hope that helps.

The one thing I haven't figured out is how to put a gif on an image save it as a gif and it work, it currently is just an image unless you manually make each gif on the image and it is so ridiculously complicated. thanks!

I’ll see if there is a way to speed it up.

Hi Nathan, Ive been playing around with Photoscape X which I love as it reminds me of an old photo editor I used to use, but one thing bugs me! I understand how to edit and crop the initial image but when you overlay other images on top how can you crop those? I know you can obviously cut them to size first but I'm sure I'm missing something as you surely should be able to choose the layer somewhere and actually crop that image without it affecting the whole rest of the design? Am I missing something obvious! I'd appreciate your advice. D

I was looking for a way to add a background layer to a photo that already had transparency. Didn't see how you added and ordered the layers, and it was not apparent from the menus in my Photoscape X Pro version... bit disappointed, because I couldn't achieve my goal based on tis video.

How do you remove white edge fringes ? When importing an image that is already cropped/with transparent background
@BriNathanCollins3 жыл бұрын
I'll look into that.
@boblansonfig39723 жыл бұрын
@@BriNathanCollins thanks ! I realized I don’t have that issue when I cut photos using Photoscape X so my solution was to do it from there because I originally ran into the problem when I used a different software that automatically cuts out the background , but leaves the edge fringes which I then would that image into Photoscape
