Beautiful video, and big kudos on the brave music choice which adds magic to the visual beauty -- the isolation, the land/seascape, and the dramatic slab/surfing. I hope more surf videographers take notice. Well done!

Weird but this is kinda how the rights are at hefty Black's sometimes... (north peak) Whole new seascape and surf spot(s) there after the gnarly landslide/groundswell-bulging event! Kinda like the islands but with clay instead of lava! Ehhhh! 👆🔥🔥

@Nathan Florence thank you for these videos. I’ve never surfed in my life. In fact I have a lifelong illness and have been bedridden for the last 17 years. Through randomly finding your videos I’ve become entranced by surfing. I’ve watched loads of surfing videos now but yours remain my favourite. The combination of the beauty of the ocean wherever you may be (I live in Northern England and seeing Scotland here is stunning) and your relationship with it; your skill and talent and the sense of physical freedom and movement that I get from watching you means a lot to me. I hope your back heals soon. Thanks again.

I love that you are representing incredible surfing throughout the world with the kindness and passion to be respected. You are a great ambassador for how surfers should treat each other. It is just a bonus that you are also the most diversely talented surfer. Thank you for sharing your quests. You had an incredible year before you broke your back. Sorry you missed the Eddie. I always appreciate the positivity. The guy speaking about being amazed that you paddled out at his local, then your other half encouraging him to get out there warmed me up a bit for some reason. I bet those locals surfing stepped up a notch or two with that session. Cheers from a cold UK! And heal quick!

I wonder if that was just random chance that those two locals pulled up to check the surf @ one of their spots, & you just happened to be already out there surfing 🏄‍♂️...or, perhaps they'd already heard that you'd be surfing there, so they drove up there with the prior intention of joining you for a surf...it doesn't really matter either way I guess, because what impressed me most is that they were both quite decent enough surfers, & they held there own out there...that's usually the way it is when you surf some out-of-the-way spot where it's almost exclusively surfed by locals...there's typically at least one or two guys that have even the most treacherous spots wired...of course, Nate is a world-class surfer--so, @ most places on the planet, he's going to outclass any local...I used to surf alone a lot @ some spots which were way off the beaten track on the Big Island...however, many years ago I was out surfing by myself, & a few of my buddies paddled out...one of them said to me, after we had all caught a few nice waves, & I had just paddled back out after a long ride, "Surfing is more fun with friends." And, I had to admit he was right. He always was the type to state simple truths. Once he told me, when I was out on my lanai with my beautiful Akita, "Kohala,"--"Life is better with a dog." He was right about that too.
