Wow, this is simply brilliant. Only one negative: I'd prefer a regular mic setup to catch an authentic acoustic sound for the guitar. but for my money, Nathaniel Ratecliff has the coolest sounding voice today.

That is one sweet-sounding guitar. Smooth.

Wonder what’s wrong with the guitar sound?! Great song, guit sounds super crunchy & distorted. His voice is crystal

For you Juhani ! If I go home oh with a howlin’ bend If you ever get lonely, if you never did I count the hours till you come round again I’m just saying, um baby I’d be waiting ah baby I’d be waiting ah baby just to dance with you If all this seems like I carry my head so low If I don’t sing, I’d be waiting on a call from home My moan and wait, can’t carry this on and on I’d be standing in the corner I’d be waiting just to hold you I’d be waiting pretty baby just to dance with you Somehow they’re gone Somehow they’re playing I’m tired and worn But I’m still standing I’m just saying, um baby I’d be waiting ah baby I’d be waiting ah baby just to dance with you Ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh I’m just saying, um baby I’d be waiting ah baby I’d be waiting ah baby I'd be waiting ah baby just to dance with you!

I was lucky enough to meet Nathaniel in Toronto a few years back , I had my dog Fiona with me and my friend waited outside so I could hear him sing in the station . Fiona left me two days ago . I always knew what this song was about .

What tuning is he using? Love the acoustic version.
@VehicularBrit8 жыл бұрын
From memory, it is either a semitone or full tone down. Listen to the chord he plays, when it matches yours you know you've hit the spot. Hope that helps ;) It's a great song!
@chrishaill37758 жыл бұрын
This version is a semitone down so that he can hit the Eb in the chorus. Sounds awesome.

Anyone got the chords figured out?
@anthonysmith28345 жыл бұрын
Its on Ultimate Guitar.
@sophielloyd8965 жыл бұрын
the chords on Ultimate Guitar aren't accurate though, i learned this by just watching him play it in this video and it sound way better then what Ultimate Guitar has.

Why is the interviewer... who is paid to interview musicians, so bad at interviewing musicians?
@repealthepatriotactindecem81518 жыл бұрын
Why is his speaking voice so different from his singing voice? *shrug*... Whatever. It was a cool song.
@crzy8ballcatmack1627 жыл бұрын
1. may have cold.. 2. his older then he was in the videos.. 3. mic setup isn't the BEST .. especially for acoustic,.. BUT what's wrong with the DEEPER side of HIS voice still Unbelievable
@seetonydrum5 жыл бұрын
Um, no. He's affecting an old school dialect. Much the same way Billy Joe Armstrong thinks he's British now. You're hearing his natural speaking voice and a made up singing voice.

too slow man,, doesnt suck but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
@Swidhelm8 жыл бұрын
One day you will grow to appreciate the slower stuff. Some of the best music in the world is a slower tempo, with a softer sound.
