Because a song like Gravity does not require many key changes, and it could get corny if it's not done right. And he's putting his hand in his pocket (which could be the fact that he was nervous). His tone is killer, but the way he did this song is a little bit too quiet and unoriginal.

I am so confused by Mel B's critique's most of the time. Yes, sometimes she's right on and relevant, then other times she 'just so pisses me off' with her stupid comments. Forgive me Mel B- I was never a fan of The Spice Girls- I found you all a bit, usual. I have a better vocal range than you. And, it wasn't hard to HEAR ! that Nathaniel did have the X Factor. It wasn't released until the end of November. I thought it was ok and not the best audition and I really have to admit that. Shiane was the worst contestant on the show in 2012. I really hated Shiane's voice and I'm just telling the truth. If I were to chose between Nathaniel and Shiane, I would've chose Nathaniel over her anytime. Shiane's worse than Nathaniel.
