4:33 the reason the course data was corrrupted was because of a useful glitch. Normally, you have a limit to coins. But if you copy the pipes instead, you go beyond the limit. If a glitch like this happens, Nintendo prevents you from uploading a level with glitches. I know this because the same text appears on your video and you were stacking coins in your level.

Yes I have the problem too and I still can't deal with it, I can barely climb vines in donkey kong tropical freeze because the drifting would force me to go up and down while they were swinging

I think the controls for making levels with a controller are pretty good. I actually think they work really well. I haven’t missed my game pad even once.

Here's a better idea: Mario finishes the castle. (Same cutscenes before) Undo dog is on the reset rocket. A toad (OR MARIO) pulls undo dog off the rocket. BUT the rocket malfunctions and deletes everything. BOOM makes more sense
