I really wanted to accompany songs but just couldn't find a way to how I should do that, searched for it and watched thousands of videos but just couldn't do it, everybody shows you patterns to accompany but nobody tells you the basic which is THE RHYTHM of the song and you made it so effortlessly easy for me and for everybody. Thank you so much for that, I am grateful.

I really appreciate your channel for the fact that your advice helps to reveal creativity and give us the tools to embody what is in our souls. I now constantly use these grooves and can create very beautiful accompaniments, adding a melody to this idea with the grooves from this video. my accompaniments now sound much more professional, and it makes me really happy. you're an incredible teacher and I really love your videos with survival techniques, it's a brilliant concept

@@nathanielschool Do you have sheet music to this lesson on your Patreon channel? :-) I'm not sure if I got the 16th triplet feel right, default kind of playing: beat 1: left hand pinky plus right hand outer two notes. beat 2-6: both thumbs alternating single notes. Is that correct? Edit: No, you're changing the fingers with which you play the triplets. So as I understand it, it's about feeling the groove and spontaneously choosing fingers to do the 16th triplets with, while the left pinky bass note is held for one whole count, and the chord in the right hand (or the two upper notes from the chord) are being played at beats 1, 2, 3, and 4. Great lesson as always. I spent an hour trying to work out the key. It seems to resolve to A major, and I think what Jason has done is flatten the 6th (F# minor) and make it a major (making it F major), and he’s also flattened the 7th from G#dim to G Major, and he uses (sometimes) the minored 4th (making it D minor) as a substitute. From what I understand, minoring the 4th and flattening the 7th are common substitutions, however I didn’t know you could flatten (and major!) the normally minor 6th. But in this case the F major may not be a substitution and may simply be a passing chord to the G major (flattened 7th). My head is melting. Going for a lie down. Hopefully Jason himself can enlighten me!
@nathanielschool
@nathanielschool 2 жыл бұрын
A - D/A - F - G I - IV/1 - VIb - VIIb Thanks for your question Mark. This looks like A major as it starts with A major triad. Then we stick with the A root and play the IV (D major). The last 2 chords you could say are borrowed from the parallel minor, A natural minor which has F and G major chords. Those could be looked at as the VIb and VIIb of the key of A
@nathanielschool

Liam. Perhaps the Left Thumb could play Eb and the Right Thumb could play it's Major Third (G). If it's Eb7, then Left Hand and right hand could play the same thing if the right adds the Db (minor 7th). However, you could also change the left hand thumb to play Db. Hope this helps?
