Merci for this. And thanks for telling me not to play the Major 7 in Blues. That explains why I was thrown out of the bar last night. I think it was about the seventh or eighth bar. Thanks for telling me to count also, since after the third bar I used to lose track.

Very nice Jason great lesson blues is always a great foundation to learn . It teaches you a to learn to feel 12 bars and then you have a structure to really learn learn how to improvise.

I've gone through listening to many other good teachers, but Jason is the best, and takes it slowly enough for us to catch on to it. I love the way he also says what notes he's playing, as singing them whilst playing will be such a help!!

I'm actually going through a Blues; Boogie-Woogie and Rock 'n' Roll Piano phase and even though I've got a way to go with improvising and devising right-hand licks and turnarounds, I think you're absolutely right; if you can master these genres then you've laid the foundation for every other conceivable genre.

That's great! Keep at it! I hope you get to where you want to be soon!

Looking back again and again your great videos can I ask you where I can find or if you can teach us left hand grooves like that you play at about 12:24 of above video. It would be great if we can play a full 12 bar blues over that left hand rhythm. Thank you.

@@nathanielschool Thank you Jason, but on this video is my question about the left hand groove you play at about 12:24. I think I must slow down the video and understand how you play it. If you can in the future give us more like this. As you can understand I am fun of this kind of music. You see I have grown up with the music of 1960. Thank you a lot. Continue the great work for all of us.

Dear Jason, I left my music for a few years, and now want to get back into it. I used Finale software before on a Mac, but it was harder to use for adding simplified notation to piano music. I see the system that you use, question: what do you use for scoring, for screen capturing and for chord recognition? I want to put this system together now. Would you kindly me, please? Thanks in advance, Perry.

Jason, These left hand simple bass chords, help us to use the right hand at the same time, without using too many fingers on the left hand at this stage! (kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2nHiJylqLKNmpY) Same as this video of yours: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGq6mHxvh7CKi7M (Bookmark this students! You'll love it) Also, your written symbols are so easy to read and help us hit the right keys! Your lower dots are the white keys, the higher dots are the black keys! How unique to write it this way! I am ONLY learning to play with YOUR lessons now! I've hardly listened to you enough yet, but I can remember what you are teaching and I can actually play what you show us. Not fast yet, but I will get it after I learn to hit all the correct notes first!
