The U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled to hold an online news conference to announce the findings of three reports estimating income, poverty, and health insurance coverage in the United States.
The reports - Income in the United States: 2023, Poverty in the United States: 2023, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2023 - provide national statistics from the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC).
• National 2023 income statistics. Annual income, earnings and inequality estimates that can be used to evaluate national economic trends and gauge their effect on the well-being of households and individuals.
• National 2023 poverty statistics. Annual official poverty and Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) estimates to help understand the economic well-being of households, families and individuals based on official poverty and SPM rates.
• National 2023 health insurance coverage statistics. Annual national-level health insurance coverage estimates highlighting trends in health coverage and examining health insurance status by select characteristics to better understand the well-being of individuals.
A question-and-answer session will immediately follow the presentation.
